Dr. Lynn Dettenmayer has enjoyed creating beautiful smiles in Sarasota, Florida since 1986. After graduating from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, he earned his D.D.S. from the Medical College of Virginia (MCV) in Richmond. Dr. Dettenmayer chose to further his education with a hospital residency in general dentistry at Montefiore Hospital in New York City. He then practiced general dentistry in New York and Virginia, and also served on the faculty of MCV.
Dr. Dettenmayer returned to MCV for residency training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. Upon graduation, he chose Sarasota as home and opened his orthodontic practice.
Dr. Dettenmayer is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, Florida Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association and the Sarasota County Dental …Association. In honor of his commitment to excellence, his peers have recognized him as one of the top orthodontists in Florida.
Dr. Dettenmayer enjoys flying, boating, running, hiking, golf and tennis in his spare time.
