I scheduled a dental appointment for my child with Pediatric Dental Care only after calling to confirm they were in-network with both of our dental insurance plans. Their staff told me they were in-network — but for some reason, I received a bill for $1,100 because they were actually out-of-network the entire time. They stated on the phone after the fact they are not in net-work with ANY insurance. When I disputed the bill, their office deflected responsibility, pointed to a form I signed after being misinformed, and refused to put anything in writing — including my request not to send the balance to collections so I could try to work with insurance on paying anything more. We’ve spent weeks trying to resolve this calmly, including phone calls, emails, and escalation to insurance. They’ve refused to take accountability and just go in circles. What’s worse is I’ve since learned other military families in the area have had the same experience. This seems to be a pattern of either… staff giving out false information or intentionally misleading patients who rely on insurance to make medical decisions to then make more money. I’ve now filed formal complaints with the Indiana State Dental Board, Better Business Bureau and Attorney General Consumer Protection office. If you’re a military or insurance-reliant family, I strongly caution you to get everything in writing before trusting this provider. This experience has caused financial stress and anxiety we should never have been subjected to.

Read treatment plan thoroughly they will explain to you one thing and do another. Watch your child, if they are in pain they try to harshly restraint them and tell the parents that they are not in pain. Billing nightmare, overcharged since out of network and claims never paid by Insurance even with proof of canceled checks. They got paid twice for services. I read reviews, I know I may be that one person who had the bad experience but be cautious!

You have to come see her! She has a clean, neat office that is very welcoming and she answered all my questions. Everything is up front and explained, so you can decide for yourself if you are ready to start. My daughter loves this office!

I've switched dentist after several years with Dr. Carr. My daughter complained of tooth pain for a year and a half, every six month cleaning telling them. They would say here is some sensitive toothpaste and out the door we went. After a bad visit I decided to take my 5 children else where. First visit at the new dentist and my daughter was told she needed a root canal!! This was of course on the tooth we were told was "sensitive"... Well of course it was sensitive! It was rotting!! Never visit there again! She's very impatient, and her office staff is not friendly!

I took all three of my kids to dr. Karr and was clearly informed of options prior to starting any work. She was caring and very patient. She is a specialist and well trained. Very happy with my visits and I would highly recommend to anyone still looking for the right dentist for their kids!
