“Dr. Lee went into dentistry because he likes working with people and likes working with his hands (and he’s somewhat of a math/science nerd).   He likes to take a practical approach to his dentistry, trying to find the fine line between “prevention is the best medecine” and “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”.
At the age of 24, he graduated from UCLA School of Dentistry. He worked for a while in a private dental practice in Redondo Beach, where he learned the art of porcelain veneers.  He still has a veneer on one of his front teeth which he got there in 1987 after “trying to eat the side of a swimming pool”.
From 1989-91, he was a dental examiner on the National Health And Nutrition Exam Survey (NHANES III).  He collected data on the state of American’s teeth which is still used by dental researchers today.  His travels took him through more than 40 states.
In 1995, he partnered with Dr. Yamamoto, whom he met while doing work …on the Dental Health Committee (Sacramento District Dental Society) and also on the American River Study Club.  They quickly outgrew their small dental office and in 1997 moved into their current dental office in East Roseville, near Granite Bay.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Sacramento District Dental Society.  He leads the American River Study Club, bringing in speakers to provide continuing education for a group of dentists.
He loves inline skating because “it is a lot of fun” and helps keep him young.  He also loves alpine skiing and used to be a National Ski Patroller at Donner Ski Ranch.  He finds acoustic guitar therapeutic and is especially fond of 70′s music.  But mostly he loves spending time with his wife and daughters.  His wife is on the board of Placer Theatre Ballet, where his youngest daughter performs in the spring and the winter.
His favorite quote is “Work like you don’t need money, love like you’ve never been hurt and dance like nobody’s watching”.  And, he is a big fan of Pixar films.”
