Lynne Victoria Abruzzo, MD

Dr. Lynne V. Abruzzo is a Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Division of Clinical Pathology. She is certified in Clinical Cytogenetics by the American Board of Medical Genetics. She is also certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, and in the subspecialty of Hematology by the American Board of Pathology. After completing her M.D. and Ph.D. degrees at the University of Chicago, Dr. Abruzzo did pathology residency training at the University of Michigan. She completed fellowship training in Hematopathology at the National Cancer Institute, in Clinical Cytogenetics at Baylor College of Medicine, and in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics at the University of Michigan. Her clinical research is focused on identifying and characterizing new cytogenomic abnormalities, and diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers in hematologic malignancies. She is the author of more than 170 peer-reviewed journal articles, and has given numerous presentations at national and …international meetings in her areas of expertise.
