Mac Andrew Bowman, MD

Dr. Bowman has been our cardiologist since 1992 when my husband had two heart attacks. Surgery was not an option & Dr. Bowman treated my husband with medication & he will be 82 in a few days. Dr. Bowman is kind, caring & treated us like friends. Without God & Dr. Bowman my husband would not be here. Anyone having him for their cardiologist has the best in the business!

Dr. Bowman staff is horrible. Called to speak with the Doctor. His staff refused to speak with me and my mother Sheila Jenkins was told to go to the emergency room instead setting up an appointment to see her. The drugs the Doctor have her on is making her condition worse. His staff needs sensitivity training asap.

The staff is the only real problem, but I'd much prefer a great doctor with a poor staff than the other way around. You have to follow up with prescriptions, etc. with several calls. But you want someone good if you have heart problems, so he's the best choice I've found in the Augusta area.

I was taken from my job by ambulance, I was having chest pains. I was seen by Dr. Bowman. He not only treated me like a person, hard to find these days, he was straight up with me and compansionate at the same time. He made me realize what was going on with me. I had to take some control. He took the time to talk to me, like no other person I know. I wish he could be my full time doctor for everything. I think when God made him the mold got broken. If anything can be done for anyone, physically or mentally, he is the one and only.

Excellent doctor who listened and answered my questions without making me feel rushed. Dr. Bowman took the time to explain using a diagram and made sure I understood my condition before leaving the office. Very courteous staff.

Dr. Bowman was very courteous with excellent bedside manners. He was patient, thorough, and actively listened to my concerns. Also, the staff were courteous and helpful.
