Mackenzie Arnold, NP

Originally from Bay City, Michigan, MacKenzie moved to Kalamazoo shortly after nursing school. Before that, she was a collegiate softball player for Saginaw Valley State University for four years and played for Team USA over the summer of 2013 in Australia.MacKenzie’s favorite part of her career is getting to know her patients through each transition of life. She loves to hear their stories while providing high-quality care and building rapport. She finds it special to watch families grow and be present for both the exciting and challenging moments in her patients’ lives. She has a special interest in contraceptive education and gynecological procedures.In her free time, MacKenzie enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and their puppy. Together, they travel the globe, go camping, spend time up north at the lake, tailgate and attend any sort of sports game, and partake in anything competitive! She also enjoys going to the gym and working on her health and …fitness.Her life’s biggest influencers have been her dad for his encouragement, her mom for her selflessness and her sister for her perseverance.I believe that patient-centered care is achieved when we recognize each patient as a unique human being with their own story. This allows for a more holistic approach, rather than focusing solely on a patient’s symptoms and disease. I strive to educate my patients so they can effectively prevent disease and manage their health. This leads to better outcomes and positive experiences.
