Dr. Madhu Thippeswamy Kalyan, MD

Dr Kalyan, is one of the most thorough doctors I've ever been to. he honestly cares for his patients, and educates them about their conditions.

I just had my first appointment with Dr. Kalyan and I am always very apprehensive seeing a new doctor. His friendly but professional manner quickly put me at ease. His exam was very thorough for what I was seeing him for and he eagerly answered all of my questions. His staff is great!

He spends time answering your questions and concerns. Explains things in a manner I understand. I highly recommend Dr. Kalyan. His staff (front desk/nurses) are very helpful and courteous and make appointments that are convenient for you.

I paid a great deal of out of pocket money for a sleep study, and 3 weeks later have yet to get any results. I did receive a letter stating that he had written me a script for a CPAP, and sent it to the DME for filling. That is fine. I got my CPAP machine. I would also like a copy of the script as well as the actual results from the sleep study. I have been leaving messages with his office for a week, as nobody there actually answers the telephone. I understand that they may be busy, and I will get a recording and have to leave a message, but they actually should return the calls.

I have changed sleep specialists due to the amount of time Dr Kalyan spent with me in the office. He seems intelligent and I don't doubt anything about his diagnosis. He seemed very direct and somewhat hurried during office visits. This wouldn't be a problem for somebody who is CPAP compliant, but I have an extremely difficult time wearing the mask and actually sleeping in it, hence my need for a doctor who has time to discuss alternative therapies (surgery, dental appliance, etc). I assume Dr Kalyan has a very high workload and that the amount of time he spends with patients is directly proportional to this. Overall I feel that he is a good doctor, I simply prefer to see somebody with a bit more time to spend with each patient.

Do not go to this clinic you can never get anybody on the phone. If he can't figure out how to help you he just says "bye I can't help you no more" very rude. I would never go to him.
