Madina Dixon, NP

A passionate women’s health provider, Madina provides specialized focus on the treatment of symptoms associated with menopause, such as mood swings, hot flashes, insomnia, and memory loss. She works with patients to complete a comprehensive hormone evaluation and establish an individualized care plan and is trained and experienced with hormone pellet insertion.
In 1998, Madina started her career as a registered nurse on a busy 31-bed Urology floor, where she gained extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of urinary incontinence, interstitial cystitis, and vaginal support problems. She earned her Associate of Science degree in Nursing at Hinds Community College in 1998, her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Alcorn State University (2009) and her Master of Science degree in Nursing from Alcorn State University (2014). She received her Registered Nurse First Assist Certification in 2012 after completing a course at North Caroline A&T University, followed by a …Certification for Professional Achievement in Perioperative Nursing Practice that same year. This expertise has allowed her to extend her clinical expertise specific to surgical suturing.
Madina has completed multiple postgraduate programs related to breast cancer surveillance, detection, and treatment. She assisted with the initiation and creation of the breast cancer license plate, established in Mississippi in 2002. Funds from this license plate have raised millions for breast cancer programs in Mississippi. She completed an intensive course in community cancer genetics and research training at the City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center in Duarte, CA, in 2017. Breast cancer screening and early detection are key components when treating women through the stages of menopause.
