Maggie L. Richter

I have been seen by Dr. Richter for 7 years now and have had nothing but great experiences with her. She is thorough, compassionate and straight forward. I have had some reoccurring issues, and she clearly explains the results, next steps and procedures that will take place. Her nurse Chelsea is great - actually every nurse that I have met in Dr. Richter's office has been kind and professional. I have referred several friends and colleagues, all of which have thanked me.

I can no longer sit silent and listen to anyone say anything positive any Dr. Richter. She should not be in practice and she should have her medical license revoked. She is unprofessional and unable to adequately communicate with her patients. In addition, if a patient is a minority such as African American, she and her nurse Robin (who should also have her nursing license revoked as well) they assume stereotypes pertaining to the individual. She does seek the best interest of her patients and try to impose her viewpoint on her patients. Dr. RICHTER IS A DANGER TO PATIENTS. She subordinates are involve in filing incorrect billing codes to obtain the highest amount of money from the insurance company as well as she performs unecessary test and bill them to the patients insurance.

Dr. Richter truly takes care of her patients and understands them. She is the most genuine and kind physician I have ever met. I highly recommend her.

If I could give no stars I 100% would. I DO NOT recommend Dr. Richter to anybody who wants to be treated with kindness and respect. I had my very first prenatal with her at 18 weeks. She entered the room with a student that was training (didn't ask if this was okay, even though it was my very first appt.) Right off the bat I was pressured into getting the flu shot. I told her I had never had it before and did not want to take it while pregnant and would do it after I have my baby. She told me my baby would suffer. I told her no my baby wouldn't, taking vaccines while pregnant has never been tested on and has been deemed unsafe! She continued to mock me and laugh while making very obvious and rude faces at me. She condescended me badly and said "I wouldn't give you something bad for you or your baby that's ridiculous" I said okay then prove to me that it's safe. She couldn't. She then proceeded to give me another rude look, mind you she is doing all of this in front of a student that… she is training. I try to let it go and later ask if we could possibly find out the gender of our baby. She tells me I'm too early. Which I know for a fact that it can be detected on an ultrasound as early as 15 weeks. I was disappointed but remained positive. When I told her we wanted to find the gender she said "uhh... okay. I won't be able to see anything but if I do I'll try" then told me that she doesn't do ultrasounds and I'll have to schedule in two weeks with somebody else. When I went to schedule, they scheduled me a MONTH away, not two weeks like she kept saying. During the ultrasound she got the gel all over my pants & it lasted all together 5 minutes and never even tried looking at the gender. I told her I had subchorionic hemorrhaging diagnosed by another doctor and wanted to check on the status of it... her response? "Well if you haven't bled then it probably healed itself..." I asked if she could look on the screen because I had two tears!! She said if I wasn't bleeding then it healed itself without even looking! At this point I'm fuming. She has ZERO bedside manners, and no respect for her patients at all. The entire appointment was so rushed that by the end of it I was still filling out new patient forms because it took longer to fill out then our appointment which again was my very first one. I told her I had been having some anxiety and she told me I needed to be on medication and gave me a referral for a psychiatrist! Without even asking me what's going on or giving me any advice to cope. You could tell her student felt very uncomfortable. She was very rude and told me twice "wow... you're so young" I'm 23....... I told her I am out of my asthma inhaler and need another prescription to cope with my breathing problems that it's been flaring up very badly and that I also need more prenatals I still have some leftover that are store bought but I will be needing some more here soon. She says okay and sends it in to the pharmacy. I get to the pharmacy & they ONLY have my prescription for the prenatals & nothing for my inhaler. I call immediately to the office. Of course Dr. Richter isn't there. I tell them she never sent in my inhaler which I desperately needed WAY more than my prenatals which I had extras of. She knew this! They told me on Saturday that I would have to wait all the way until Monday or I would have to go to the emergency room if it got bad. Again I'm astounded at her incompetence as a "professional." I tell them to leave a note and get a doctor to fill it by Monday morning. I call at 12 pm Monday and ask if they sent in my prescription to the pharmacy for my inhaler and I need it today no later than that because my asthma was flaring up again. The nurse on the phone straight up told me "oh yeah I see here that she just didn't send it in... I'm not sure why... you got your prenatals though right?" Putting my prenatals over my BREATHING!!! I finally got my inhaler after 3 days of waiting for it whenever if she was doing her job correctly would've gotten the same day. Needless to say I am switching doctors immediately and have warned as many people as I can! The medical board WILL be contacted. If you're okay with being patronized and belittled then she is the doctor for you. Otherwise please go to someone who knows what they are doing and can look after the safety of you and your child. I created this account specifically so I could leave a review and warn others. Reviews will be going out on Facebook, Instagram, google review, HR, medical board and so on. Yes... this is how bad she was.
