Dr. Elkordy has been my cancer Dr. for over 5 years. She's been outstanding in providing the big 3 "Cs" everyone needs when they face life threatening concerns of the forth "C" -cancer: compassion, care and competence. I've followed her from the NC Cancer center to Rex Campus and now to her new office in Cary. She has the ability to explain the difficult in an honest and direct approach.

I have been Dr. Elkordy's patient for nearly four years. Through out this time, I have been positive I have had the best treatment possible. Beyond her medical expertise, I believe her positive attitude and caring attention made my recovery possible.

I consulted Dr. Elkordy because I wanted a specialist review of my specific medical condition. My primary MD was very competent, but advised me to seek more in-depth analysis for my own peace of mind. I found Dr. Elkordy to be extremely knowledgeable and up-to-date in her specialty, and very clear/articulate in her explanation. She was also a very kind, compassionate, and caring physician, considering me as a whole human being as well as focusing on my specific problem. Dr. Elkordy spent all the necessary time with me and even suggested that I follow up with her at my convenience. I am highly satisfied with the experience and will certainly refer my friends/family to this physician. An overwhelming number of reviews rate Dr. Elkordy as outstanding in her work, and I unreservedly agree with these. There were, however, a couple of negative opinions which I immediately disregarded as being inaccurate and a probable distortion of actual events. It is extremely unlikely that a… physician with her high level of education, years of training and successful practice, and absolute professionalism would treat a patient or family member in a disrespectful and heartless manner.

Faced with an unwelcome diagnosis of breast cancer in 2001, I did not know where to turn and fortunately was referred to Dr. Elkordy. From my first appointment, I knew that with her caring way, experience and reassurance that I could handle what ever was necessary to win this battle. I am still a patient today and she has helped me through another bout with breast cancer and colon cancer. She and her staff have been responsive to all my needs and I could not image a more compassionate person. She is the best!!!

Dr El Kordy has always been compassionate and caring to me and was very supportive and empathic when my son died. I would recommend her.

Dr. Elkordy is my Oncologist & I have been treated for 6 months, but I have seen Dr. Elkordy only once. I have been taken care of by her Physicians Assistant. This is disturbing.

My father saw a different doctor at the cancer center for his Stage 4 cancer. He went into the hospital the day before Christmas Eve and Dr. Elkordy was the on call doctor. When we met with her about my father she looked my mother and I in the eyes and said "What do you expect even coming to the hospital for his pain, he is a waste of my time." This doctor may face death regularly but I truly pray that she shows her other families more compassion, since a doctor is the person we lean on for hope...my father passed away 5 days later after a different and caring doctor told us "I'm so sorry there is nothing more we can do." It is all about bedside manners and Dr. Elkordy is the worst excuse for a doctor I have EVER come in contact with, no dying human is EVER a waste of anyone's time and how dare her say that to the patient's family.

After waiting in a room for a half hour for a follow-up appt w/ Dr. Elkordy, she arrived in a huff and ran though my labs at a blurrying pace providing little explanation, except when I asked her to stop and clarify. When I asked for the spelling of another medical professional's name that she referenced, I was told to "just go look it up online". She was short tempered and seemed very inconvenienced to even be in the room with me, almost angry to be honest. I felt intimidated to even ask any questions. (I am sick, by the way - I don't need that, thanks). Her staff does not return phone calls either. This is a cancer facility, I seriously pray for anyone who has to hear difficult news coming from this woman....I can't imagine she would have an ounce of compassion. Look elsewhere - you can easily do better.
