Dr. Maha Zikra, MD

Truly one of the worst doctors experiences I’ve ever had. She made me cry. I will never be going back there. Dr. Zikra was so rude to me I ended up crying and walking out. First off, she doesn’t take the time to listen to you. She rushes through your appointment and doesn’t even listen to your thoughts or symptoms. I told her I have a swollen lump on my neck that has been causing me pain for a couple weeks, and she said “no it’s not it’s not causing you pain, you’re just thinking about it too much.” What??? How does she know if I’m in pain??? She wouldn’t do an ultrasound to look at the lump and said she wasn’t concerned even though I had paperwork from a previous ultrasound that stated I needed another ultrasound check up on it. She wouldn’t. She then gave me bloodwork only for TSH, when I asked for a complete thyroid panel to compare to my previous blood work since I have prior thyroid issues, she refused and said “YOU want that, I don’t” even though all of my previous doctors told… me I needed a full panel. I pleaded to her multiple times and she said “You go to Macy’s, you pick out your own dress there, you come here, you listen to me and my expertise.” LIKE WHAT???? I’ve never had a doctor speak to me like this before, it was horrible!!! Please do yourself a favor and do not go to this doctor. I went to another doctor the next day and told him my symptoms and he was so concerned and gave me the proper blood work and ultrasounds to find out what is wrong. Just save your time and health and don’t go to this woman.

Dr. Maha Zikra has been unlawfully billing my Autistic Daughter for services that have already been paid. We have told her that her billing is wrong and illegal but she continues to harass our daughter. She even went so far as to coerce her into signing a statement saying that she would pay all amounts billed by Dr. Zikra. Unconscionable unethical behavior. Beware.

Dr. Zikra is an amazing doctor. I have spent 30 years with unknown causes for my digestive issues. I have gone through many doctors, hospitals, and procedures to combat my alleged conditions. After seeing Dr. Zikra for the first time, she solved all of my problems and changed my entire life for the better. She diagnosed me with celiac disease, and within a week of stopping gluten, I felt YEARS younger. No doctor has ever mentioned anything about me being intolerant to gluten, and I have spent too long in pain. Dr. Zikra is a life saver, and I cannot thank her enough. I highly recommend her as one of the best doctors in Orlando.

Absolutely terrible. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 2 years ago and got medication for it. Lately I’ve been feel symptomatic so I scheduled an appointment with a new endocrinologist. I explained my symptoms to Dr. Zika in the first visit (before bloodwork). Debilitating headaches, extreme hair loss, and low energy levels. She basically told me to see my PCP because “these aren’t symptoms of a thyroid condition.” She also requested a vitamin d test with my bloodwork because she thought that was the reason for my hair loss. Even though I explicitly told her I get ample sun exposure. Essentially every time I tried to ask a question she would interrupt. The follow up visit was a televisit in which I waited 40 minutes before I eventually had to call the office and ask them where she was. Finally I got a call And she quickly reviews my bloodwork saying my thyroid was fine and I shouldn’t change anything. Again I addressed my symptoms and she again told me to go to my PCP. She rushed to… get me off the phone completely ignoring my concerns. The call was 4 minutes long. If you have legitimate concerns about your thyroid and are seeking advice/treatment you are better off consulting with a flat tire then this “doctor”.

Originally I was referred to an endocrinologist who turned out to be a quack. My wife told me about Dr. Zikra and I was really pleased. She makes you feel comfortable and takes her time to explain important things. I am writing this review because I am not always comfortable with doctors and original quack didn’t make things better. I am happy with the care I receive from Dr Zikra and her staff is pleasant.

Dr. Zikra made me feel comfortable by explaining candidly the pros and cons of my diagnosis. She is professional and displays a level of interest I never experienced for a first time visit with other doctors. She remains consistent with het attitude during subsequent visits.

Dr Zikra has been my husband’s doctor for 9 years and she has been nothing but compassionate and professional. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a Endocrinologist

I have been a patient at Dr. Zikra’s office for more than 10 years. Everytime I need advice, not only medical but personal, Dr. Zikra has been there for me. Whenever I walk into her office, I don’t think of it as a doctors office, but as a place where I’m comfortable. She’s such an amazing doctor and I really don’t know anybody better than her. Her staff is phenomenal and the whole office is just amazing. Thank you Dr. Zikra has staff!

She listens to your concerns. Takes time to analyze your test results. She and her staff very professional and proficient. I was recommended to her by my doctor and she definitely exemplifies a great doctor. My condition has improve 100%+. I am grateful she is my doctor.

If I could, I'd give this place negative 5,000 stars. I was a patient of Dr. Zikra for more than a year. Countless visits, hospital stays, and explaining what I was going through. She never LISTENED to anything I was saying. I was on multiple medications and misdiagnosed, which has caused my health significant damage. Went to another endocrinologist for one day and he figured out what was wrong and no complications at all. Her staff and herself are RUDE and disrespectful. Save yourself time, money, and health and go somewhere else.
