Dr. Mahendra Rama Sanapati, MD

I have been a patient at Pain Management Centers of America for 6 years. This was the first time seeing Dr. Sanapati. My regular doctor was ill. Dr. Sanapati began, saying it had been a long time since seeing me. I replied, stating this was the fist time I’d seen him. He corrected me saying, “No, it has been a while.” He asked questions about recent medication changes, but interrupted me and asked another question. I attempted to answer, now to both questions while providing context. He reiterated my response, but changed my words—making it sound as though I had contradicted myself. I asked if I would see him next visit to which he replied, “whoever is available. He disagreed with my previous doctor’s prescription (of 5 years) and wanted to change it. I attempted to provide my assessment. Again, he interrupted, saying, I “wouldn’t listen to him” and “would have to find another doctor”—yet, he could not say if I would see him again. He left the room, saying nothing and left the door… open. Not knowing if he would return, I asked the nurse. Although I disagreed with his assessments, I was as polite and respectful as possible. Over the last 25 years, I have seen several pain doctors. Dr. Sanapati, without question, is one of the very worst. He was impersonal. He doesn’t listen and is not interested in your own evaluation. Locating a pain doctor, you either already know or will find, is very difficult and the appointment is often months away. That doctor will likely be your doctor for many months. When seeing pain specialists, changing doctors can be even more difficult and often deemed as “doctor shopping.” I often wonder about good reviews left by others about bad doctors. There simply MUST BE more to it than just opinion. Maybe it will be helpful to add that I am in the class of people where “there’s a lot wrong with my body”, NOT the more lucky ones with “not much wrong with my body”. If you are in my class, you should avoid this doctor. Oh, and I only gave 1 star because, I cannot give zero. A negative zero scale would be helpful, I think. I hope this review helps someone else.

Doctor Sanapati is an exceptional Doctor. I've been his patient for the past 15 yrs. I'm thankful that Doctor Sanapati has a pain management clinic and ambulatory center, here in Evansville.

I was dropped because the nurse stated I was under review. Than I was told I didn't come in for a pill count. I was NEVER contacted to come in for a count!! I'm seeking legal action.

The only reason I gave 1 star is because I couldn't give a zero. Absolutely the worse Dr. ever. Does not listen, does not explain, does not follow up on test results and does not return phone messages. I would not recommend him to my worse enemy.

Money, Money, Money. That's what it's all about at the Advance Pain Clinic. The heck with your pain. They changed my appointment day 8 out of 10 times. Straight up. I've waited over 2 hours to be called back. My job wasn't happy.

Sanipati Patients as nothing more than CASH COWS to exploit for a Dollar. When possible prescribing non-narcotic cremes, assorted pill medications from his 'In House Pharmacy' to increase his profit margin, along with Epidural Injections, when Physical Therapy or Surgery is the correct choice. The worst Physician Ever, due to his inability to communicate to the patient, his lack of Compassion and general disregard for a Patients overall Health. You have been Warned.
