Dr Shah is one of the most caring physicians I know. I travel About an hour to see him. He has always taken great care of me and has always been there for me when I’m in a depressive crisis. Most importantly- he never judges me. He’s always there to help. I trust him completely.

I have been seeing Dr. Shah since the 70's. He is terrific, he is very thorough and highly competent. His staff are the best.

*** DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR *** ***this doctor ignored my request to reduce the amount of medications he put my 71 yr old mom on and then HUNG ON ME AFTER YELLING AT ME*** This doctor was a psychiatrist to my 71 yr old mother who suffers from depression. He prescribed her THREE different types of medication with side effects of confusion, all at pretty high doses. My mom takes all of her prescriptions to him whenever she goes but he didn't notice that her primary care doctor also prescribed her xanax which would cause additional confusion. I don't live in Florida so I can't go to all of my moms doctor appointments with her but I go as often as I can. I did a lot of research on the medications that she is taking and spoke with her primary care who raised concerns about some of the interactions. I asked my mom to call me next time she went to this doctor and when I spoke with him he was incredibly rude. I told him about my concerns and how I had spoken with her primary care… and that they advised that she be weened off of two of the medications. The doctor yelled at me and said that if my mom wanted to get off of the meds she should do it and then he said to me "you can't tell me what to do" -- I felt like I was talking to a child. After a heated conversation where I was advocating for my mom, the doctor HUNG UP ON ME. I cannot imagine ever being a doctor where an elderly patients family is telling you about potentially bad side effects and you yell at them and say you will do what you want and then hang up. If that's not the biggest red flag in the medical industry I don't know what is.
