I was sent to CL from Hospitality Health ER for concerns of urosepsis. I was still contagious with Covid, but without symptoms. I was @ CL Regional for 5 days, & my pain worsened throughout my stay. Dr. M would not listen to my concerns, & she insisted that the urologist that removing a kidney stent would take care of my pain/low grade fever. Within 3 hours of discharge, I was admitted to UTMB for severe pain/fever of 100.5 & had a nephrostomy tube inserted w/in 24 hours. This procedure decreased my pain/nausea, & my ongoing low-grade fever resolved. Once the severe hydronephrosis resolved, my kidney was atrophied, my function had reduced from 18% to 13%, & I had to have a full nephrectomy of right kidney. My five days @ Clear Lake Regional was under this doctor's daily care. Had she investigated the cause of my severe and worsening kidney pain, I may have been able to have a repair done after the nephrostomy, rather than having my kidney removed. She NEVER listened to me in 5 days.
