I am a board certified pediatrician at St. Luke's University Health Network.Pediatrics is a wonderful field because it allows me to be a part of instilling life-longhealthy habits in kids.I strongly feel that you have to develop an understanding of family dynamics so you can better care for your patients and families.Often there are barriers to care that need to be identified andaddressed.
My specific interests within pediatrics include ADHD and autism, among others.Parents need support from their families, their communitiesand their pediatricians to navigate the amazing, complex andoften humbling maze of parenting.
I have an interest in educational advocacy within the school system.Often, the educational milieu is a complex environment to navigate asa parent, who may already be dealing with a child with a learning disabilityor behavioral difficulty.I have an interest in helping parents navigate this often confusing landscape.
I earned my medical degree at the University of Washington …School of Medicine and completed my residency at Wake Forrest University School of Medicine.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
