Dr. Mahin Golabi, MD

I met Dr. Mahin Golabi at CPMC. My son (Sebastin) was born with a congenital abnormality of the brain called (ACC) or Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum. At birth, he was transfered at the CPMC's NICU (New born ICU) and was observed thoroughly by different medical specialist. Within our 4 day long, agonizing and traumatic stay in the hospital's I.C U, all we heared from doctors were nothing but painful and brutal, direct to the point explanations of what's going to happen with our son and the the future that awaits him. My wife did nothig but cry... When we met Dr. Golabi, all things changed!!! She was like an angle from heaven, so compassionate, loving and very sensitive with what we were feeling. She understood how we were feeling at that time (as parents). She hugged us, symphatized with us and assured us that everything's going to be alright. She held our hands, went out of her way, stopped what she was doing and explained nothing but good expectations for our baby. Dr.… Golabi is a doctor with a "big" heart. I saw her sincerity and dedication with her medical profession. Her biggest concern is her patient's well being and not what see gets out from her patients ($$$). For a while, i even thought that she looked like mother Theresa! Full of compassion and love. She even offered us dinner at the cafeteria and told us that she will be willing to help us, "in any way", any time! WOW! Where can you find somebody like that nowadays??? Only in the movies, i guess or fairy tale books....Well, Dr. Golabi sure is one of those. An angel from heaven, sent by God... A doctor with a big Heart!!!
