Dr. Islam is one of the most caring physicians. She treats her patients with care and consideration without patronizing.

I vehemently believe that if you are seeking a provider who specializes in addiction medicine, look elsewhere. In the office, patients are treated subhuman, like "just another addict." The While in the exam room waiting to be seen, I also overheard Dr. Islam's staff laughing about a patient who they were saying was in the office earlier in the day; they were making jokes about the patient's orientation, who considered themself pansexual, and that they didn't even know what that meant. I believe in compassion for all and genuine human connection when seeking a provider... you won't find it here.

I have been going to Dr. Islam for years and have always been treated very well. Everyone there is very pleasant and caring and I would recommend her and her staff to anyone.

She is very knowledgeable and professional. She is one of the only board certified addiction doctors in the area.

Don't waste ur time with this kno it all don't lisen to u dr she wants to brag herself up and look down her nose at u y do theses so called addiction Drs that never stuck a needle in there arm tell u it's the law to do this and that and there way is the only way ur going to get better they never went thru the shakes so what they read in a Tex book and how they treat is two different things same on this women for treating me like a worthless individual!!! go else way plz

Another great day. I no longer wake up sick in the morning knowing that I will spend the entire day chasing narcotics. Life is good and that's because of Dr Islam and her staff. Thank you all so much.

I have been her patient for over 15 yrs She is very knowledgeable and takes time to talk with me about all aspects of my health.

Wow I can’t believe that she still a doctor with all of this she made my way from Miss Carrie our child she’s a horrible person she doesn’t care about anybody but herself she made up stories so my wife could get kicked out the DEA needs to be informed about this woman there are more bad reviews about this woman then there are any good there’s like two or three good reviews there’s like 44 bad reviews how is this even possible everything that everybody said is completely true this lady should not have her license she Musta been kicked out of other medicine that’s why she went to drug attic medicine because the regular doctors won’t even have her something seriously needs to be done about her

I was on a lot of heavy pain Meds all at once for many years, the strongest of them being called. Fentanyl Subsys. I heard from a doctor that one pill alone could replace all of them and even take care of all the pain. Well when I saw Dr. Islam's flyer that explains she sees people for to treat pain with Suboxone. She also said she treats addicts so that always explained why I still needed to go every week to a 1 hour group, however I didn't have a problem doing that unless you can explain the difference between. Dependency and addict. At least I was on one pain pill that took care of many pains a day. Since I have always had pain and it's not getting any easier to deal with. I never had an issue with doctor Islam, it was the nurses. Not because they watch as you pee standing right next to you. But because it seems they just try to make themselves look good in Dr. Islam's eye's at the patients expense. Not to mention who will she listen too, her own staff or what they call, drug… addicts. Since I have always had pain and at my age it's not getting any easier to deal with. I had a really bad new shoulder pain that got worse everyday. So while I was there for a group 30 minute's early like always I saw the a nurse. I asked her if there is anyway I could see the doctor sooner because, right then she but in and said she didn't even want to know why. So she told me I see her in just over two weeks and it's better to just wait, then she said "plus your probably low on your Meds, right?" I said no that's not true. After a week with the pain getting much worse and I was there another 30 minute's early for group and I asked her again. She said I can but need to bring in my Meds. Then she looked at the computer and said she can't fit me in so you'll need to wait until your appointment. Well the following week I was planning on going in early again and this time I was dying in pain. Granted it was only 5 days from my appointment but with the pain it seemed to be a year away. But before I did I thought. There has to be a way I can get in sooner. Because I know my body and it's not lying. Well I called and guess who I got, yep the same nurse. I asked. What happens if someone loses their medication. She said, well they will need to see the doctor right away and probably get a new script, but it will be for less. I knew I didn't need a new script because I never lost them in the first place. So I called back right away and said I lost my Meds and that's why I asked what is going to happen. Then she said, well she won't be able to see you until someone calls you tomorrow. So that night at group I got there 30 minute's early and even had all of my medication. So when the doctor saw me she knew I had to take such drastic measures to get around her staff. Well she still didn't want to see me and I was told before even showing them my Meds I need to wait until my appointment date and will be cut. So yes I should have never lied but I am no more guilty of that then her nurses. The nurse telling me I would need to see her right away. Suboxone is a great life saving drug. Only writing this so you know what to expect. I've learned that since doctor Islam never tried to question any of this. In fact I saw her sitting there and was going to set my Meds down. But she was with the nurses and they probably would have cut me all the way from lying. Since I left her I have had 2 MRIs. One showing a dislocated shoulder, frozen shoulder stage 3 and a problem with my neck. I would go back if I knew I could see her and if she believed me.
