Dr. Mahmoud B. Barrie, MD

I drove 3 hrs to visit Dr. Barrie because I needed a 2nd opinion. Dr. Barrie stayed in my room for almost an hr., explaining, drawing illustrations, and discussing information relevant to my problems/symptoms. He was very thorough and was not at all insulted when I asked him a question! He has scheduled a test and seems to want to find the problem after visitting for 1 hr, whereas I have been with the same GI Specialist for 2 1/2 yrs with no satisfaction! Thanks Dr.Barrie and its great to know someone still cares! Diagnosis--- working on it Follow up--- just went today

My experience with Dr. Barrie was awful. In my initial appointment, I had to wait 2 hours to see Dr. Barrie. In the initial appointment, Dr. Barrie diagnosed me, and suggested a treatment. When this treatment was not effective, he asked that I come back to his office. In this second appointment, Dr. Barrie suggested I would need to see a surgeon if the treatment did not clear up. I followed the at home treatment, and called Dr. Barrie to get his recommendation on a surgeon. Dr. Barrie's office did not call me back after several calls. They never made a referral to a surgeon, and I have had to go to another Gastro clinic. In this, the new clinic started me on an at home treatment, but said that my condition may no longer be fixable due to the length of time I have experienced the issue. If you want an accurate diagnosis or any type of follow up, find a different doctor.
