This doctor will throw a tantrum and refuse to see you if she doesn't get her whole 20 to 30 minutes to ignore every single thing you say to her and just jerk your meds around trying to get that magical TSH level to be where she wants it. She disregards how you feel or any symptoms you may be having... it's all about the TSH with her. That left me with inadequate care until I found a doctor that actually listened to me and now my nails are attached to the bed again and other symptoms that were ignored in pursuit of the lovely perfect TSH score have also been resolved.

My daughter has been very sick for two weeks. I took her to walk in care at EMMC Healthcare mall yesterday and while we were right there I walked down the hallway to ask for a refill for my daughter's thyroid medication. Even after I explained how sick my daughter was Dr. Ahmad refused a refill until she had an appointment and we were told at that time that my daughter could not get a refill without the bloodwork and orders were sent to the lab. Just prior to her appointment today My daughter went in the lab and I went to the office and asked the receptionist to please tell Dr. Ahmad that my daughter was there for her appointment and getting her labs done right then. The receptionist did not indicate that that was a problem or tell us my daughter had to hurry. We were back in the office at 12 minutes after and Dr. Ahmad told the receptionist to tell us that since my daughter was over her ten-minute limit being she would not be seen that day and would need to reschedule. I am… not sure what her problem is but Dr. Ahmad is going through something and taking it out by being hostile to her patients. I think it even is or if not it borders on malpractice. To refuse to prescribe a med someone is supposed to take every day because you're having a petty snit about something is ignorant.
