Dr. Mahnaz Taremi, MD

I am writing this to share a deeply disappointing experience with Dr. Mahnaz Taremi. Her lack of professionalism, empathy, and basic courtesy was shocking for a healthcare setting. Throughout the appointment, she was extremely impatient regarding communication. When a family member tried to help translate to ensure clear communication, she was dismissive and aggressive, insisting on a rigid style of interpretation that made the process more difficult. Rather than handling the language barrier with professional patience, she made unnecessary and demeaning comments to the front office staff about our inability to translate technical terms, even though providing professional interpretation services is a provider's responsibility. Her tone was rude throughout the visit, implying that any delays in the appointment were our fault. To make matters worse, she concluded the visit with a very dismissive attitude. As she exited the room, she let the door slam behind her while we were still… standing to follow her out. This behavior was impatient and entirely inappropriate. I expect a much higher standard of respect from UCSD Health providers. I am choosing to keep this review anonymous out of a genuine fear of retaliation toward future medical care, but I felt it was important to document this pattern of behavior for other patients.

Dr. Taremi is very unprofessional. I felt judged by her as did my family members. She was very brief with us and wouldn't listen to what I was saying, instead interrupting and telling me what I was feeling. Because of this, I think the care I got suffered. I will not see her again
