Dr. Mahvash Shayan was born in Iran. In 1972 she graduated from Tehran/Iran University with an honor degree in dentistry, D.D.S. In May of 1979 she graduated from Boston University, Henry Goldman School with a Master’s of Science in Dentistry and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Pediatric Dentistry. Throughout her entire academic career she also did work in private dental offices. She has more than 25 years experience working with children. For the past ten years she served as Director and Assistant Clinical Professor at USC Dental School, Pediatric Department. Dr. Shayan is on staff at Northridge Hospital Medical Center and is a member of the San Fernando Valley Dental Society, American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the Pediatric Dental Association.
