Dr. Maisie Hwang, MD

I dont get the other reviews at all. Dr. Hwang has been the most professional and earnestly interested Dr I’ve ever been to in my adult life. My wife has the same opinion. She actually listens, asks good questions, follows up and provides actionable feedback. I’d recommend her to anyone.

She was the first doctor I saw as an adult. She was dismissive, occasionally rude, and didn't believe me when I told her my symptoms were NOT just anxiety or depression. She put anxiety and depression in my chart anyway. She would ask me "are you SURE, it's not anxiety deep down?" multiple times. I switched doctors, and got referrals to the appropriate specialists and I've since gotten diagnoses that explain all the symptoms that I had originally gone to her for. She is to date still the only doctor that repeatedly implied it was just in my head.

One of the worst doctors I have gone too. She had a terribly wrong diagnosis.. Even after being referred by another dr at the same practice for help with treatment. She LAUGHED at me and was extremely rude. Came up with tons of other reasons I could Be sick... Did bloodtests for all and they all came back negative.. Like I told her they would be. And my original diagnosis came back positive. She still refused to treat it or believe it was my diagnosis. I only gave her one star because that was the minimum allowed. Wouldn't trust her.

I am also a senior but didn't feel she talked down to me. She was very efficient, to the point and I appreciate that about her. She listened to my concerns, answered my questions and took care of the reason for my visit. I have no complaints about her!!

I wish I would have read the other reviews before seeing this doctor! I experienced the same as everyone else. She went through a checklist of questions, I gave her honest answers and she would scold me and say the appointment isn't about that issue. Meanwhile I was just answering the questions she was asking. The frustrating part was that she would then ask follow-up questions after already saying we couldn't talk about that, and then when I would answer she would say the same thing again, acting annoyed as if I were pushing the issue. It was like she wanted me to talk so she could tell me not to, all the while she was acting flustered and annoyed. So frustrating, definitely will never go back to this doctor.

She spent way too much time asking me about the supplements I take and how to spell them and what each was used for. Then I got reprimanded for not going for routine tests. I was treated like a stupid senior citizen. She then said do not come back to me for this same problem because I will not treat you.

Felt the same way as the previous review. She was just looking out for herself (checking the boxes), and made it obvious that she couldn't care less about me. I didn't get the impression that she was confident, and when I questioned her, she talked down to me as if I were stupid! I don't trust a thing she said about my health so now I need to make an appt for another doc. I will never go to her again!

Very rude, insulting, and not patient. When she asks you a question, she will get mad at you, if you do not provide the answer that she is looking for.
