he is the best dr ever! i love how he jokes around with you and gets straight to the point. he doesnt sugar coat anything and is straight forward.

First visit yesterday, after leaving Low Country Orthopedics (Dr. Zimlich). Quite a positive difference and I am quite impressed with Dr. Gottlich and staff.

Dr Gottlich was my Orthopaedic Dr and Surgeon for 20 years. He is excellent!! He did 2 full knee replacements and a hip replacement on me and I thank him everyday for my pain relief!! He is a doctor that always remembers and recognizes his patients old and new. Fantastic person. I miss him here in Florida, but wish him the best in Charleston.

Very disappointed with the treatment (or lack thereof) from this doctor. His bedside manner is woefully lacking. He is abrupt and appears uninterested in helping you. My first visit with him was positive, but the follow-up proved to be a total let-down. It's apparent from other reviews that I'm not the first to encounter this. I suggest you seek out another and more compassionate doctor who is genuinely concerned in helping you get better.

Dr Gottlich saved my life 10yrs ago. I was in a serious effort motorcycle accident the last day of Bikeweek in 2005. If it wasn't for Dr Gottlich I Wouldn't be the man I am today. He already worked his shift and was leaving as they rolled me in to the Hospital. I was in extremely rough shape as a kid in an F-150 ran a red light at 50+ mph and t-boned me. I had severe injuries on the bulk of my body. My right arm and wrist was barely hanging on as well as my right foot, broken Pelvis on both side, multiple broken ribs,broken left clavicle,broke right leg/knee. I can say due to Dr Gottlich that I have been able to lead a productive and fairly normal life due to the extent of my injuries.

Had a terrible experience with Dr. Gottlich. His bedside manners and taking the time to listen were below par. I would not recommend this doctor to anybody.

Very truthful and no nonsense.

I set an appointment with this clinic without knowing any of the doctors because I was in a good deal of pain, I have a very high threshold for pain and I was very concerned, something that I have rarely experienced in 51 years. When I described my personality, sensitivities and expectations to the staff at the scheduling desk, the woman suggested that I would be well matched with Dr. Malcolm Gottlich, and they were absolutely correct. His diagnosis has been very accurate thus far after two visits (with a third scheduled), and his treatment has been conservative just as I requested. He read my answers thoroughly on a q&a sheet I was asked to complete, and then he listened to everything I had to say about my pain and symptoms. He REALLY listened, he revealed clear understanding and knowledge and then proceeded to diagnose and begin working with me in partnership to treat my issue. He's a busy man, but aware and respectful that his patients are busy too and very aware of the "different"… needs of his patients. His bedside manner is direct and professional. He was very straightforward in speaking with me and confident in directing the next steps for me to take in treating my issue. He spends no more time than needed to move through an appointment so not to waste your time or his. I did not feel rushed. He seems to take whatever amount time is needed with a patient, but doesn't have time to chit-chat as other patients are waiting. His nursing tech staff has returned any calls promptly with the answers and/or information that I was seeking at the time. Although his surgical specialty is knees and hips, I am extremely pleased with the services provided by this doctor thus far. I believe he'll help me via conservative treatment work through this issue and avoid the need for surgery.

I had a great experience with Dr Gottlich and his staff especially Christine in the x-ray/casing department. She was great at making me feel comfortable, she helped ease my pain and anxiety! Thanks Christine. You and Dr Gottlich make a great team!!
