Dr. Maleah Koppa

Maleah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker( LCSW) who has over 6 years of experience offering collaborative, person-centered counseling. She specializes in assisting adult clients to better manage their anxiety, depression, substance use, self-esteem, trauma, life transitions, stress management, emotional regulation skills, and more. Maleah earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Colorado and went on to earn her Master of Social Work from the University of Kansas. She has since practiced in the state of Texas until relocating to North Carolina. Living and working in so many different communities has allowed Maleah to be skilled in connecting with people from diverse backgrounds and belief systems.In her practice, she pulls from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and other therapeutic models to help guide you through the change process in a way that fits you. Maleah aims to foster a relaxed, respectful counseling …environment where judgment is never part of the process. Maleah knows that it can be intimidating to open up to a counselor, especially for the first time.
