Dr. Mamata Gopal Majmundar, MD

Dr. Majamundar is a very experienced family care doctor who is really dedicated to her patients. She expects patients to be active participants in improving their own health and isn't a "give them a pill and send them home" type of doctor. If you want a doctor who will do a great job of providing medical care while encouraging you to be a real partner in keeping yourself healthy, I highly recommend Dr. Majamundar.

Would never recommend this "Dr". New patient, lady was rude and very poor communicator. Would not answer questions about my concerns.Continuously wanted to schedule me with other doctors to answer some basic medical questions. Changed prescriptions without discussing or informing the patient of the change. After 2 visits remarked I should go see another physician because I wasn't happy. Poor physician who didn't mind charging every fee imaginable. Wondered if she worked on commission? Required all my medical records from old physician but didn't read them. Very disappointed. Works at a big clinic so staff & admin not an issue. Communication is the key. Lack of communication, listening & talking w/patient.

Outstanding. Very thorough, up to date, compassionate, and caring. A truly excellent doctor.

The group practice (Lexington Clinic) is OK, but Dr. Majmundar is wonderful - timely, caring, considerate, always willing to answer questions and to take the time to insure that you understand. She's also very competent and accurate in her diagnoses.

Dr. Mamata Majmundar is absolutely off the charts with her professionalism, compassion, consideration, kindness, thoughtfulness, knowledge, thoroughness, caring, explanations, and willingness to go the extra mile to be sure you have a thorough understanding of exactly what your health status is and how your needs are to be handled. Dr. Majmundar keeps you up-to-date on any lab results, test reports, etc. She is one of the most genuine doctors I have ever met and is really concerned that her patients receive the best quality care available and I feel goes to great lengths to make sure that is what happens. Dr. Majmundar makes you feel that your care and well-being really matters and that you are not just another number. Most anyone I know likes to believe that when they are sick, their Doctor is really concerned and sincerely will be there for them and get to the bottom of whatever is going on. We all only have "one me" and seek the best quality care out there and I know that… I, my family and several friends have truly been blessed to have Dr. Majmundar and her staff to take care of us. Whenever I hear of anyone looking for the best primary care physician, I always recommend Dr. Majmundar.

I would not recommend Dr. Majmundar. She does not follow up on test results, she bills for extended office visits for 5 minute appts., and does not treat you for the problem you came in with. She prescribes medications or changes doses without following up. She does not describe her diagnosis with the patient thoroughly. Her notes do not accurately reflect what is discussed and she can be belligerent when speaking to you. The office staff is incredibly rude. Scheduling is very difficult. I find the entire office at Lexington Clinic at Andover to employ sub-standard doctors.

I would never refer a friend to her. She was rude and insisted that every diagnosis I currently have could not be valid unless I go on to a new specialist and get diagnosed again. She wanted me to go to 6 different specialists and repeat testing and evaluations I have already done. Because I did not agree with starting from scratch and I am in my 40's, she stated she was not the Dr. for me.

She is one of the best MDs I have been to. She is extremely caring and professional. She has never been rude, inconsiderate, or told me to go some were else if I disagreed with her. She encourages second onions (if needed or when I feel it might be something more). I have not had to have second onions with her often at all. Furthermore, if it is something she thinks needs a second look; she has 2 or 3 different MDs as referrals if needed. She is not brash and is open and willing to do whatever it takes to serve her patients and their medical needs. She is highly skilled and concerned for patients during and after visits. Recommend her to friends and family often. Overall she is incredible MD with a great balance of medical and humanistic knowledge.

This doctor told me that if I didn't like her diagnosis I could go somewhere else. I was really sick and not fully there mentally at the time. I trying to talk to her to understand her diagnosis before my appointment was over. I will not be going back to lexington clinic.
