He is a great doctor who actually listens to his patients he’s never in a hurry to get you out of his office

Oh boy, where exactly do I begin? I'll start by saying I've been a patient of Dr. Rasheed for about 15 years. And for the most part he's been okay when he actually stops talking and listens, which is rarely but his stories are pretty entertaining for the most part. Until now, that is... This recent incident seems too incredible to be true if you didn't experience it first hand. I'll start by saying I have quite a few health problems that have plagued me since I was in my early 20's. High blood pressure, a rare skin disease called Hidradenitis suppurativa, and more recently a skin disorder known as Pyoderma gangrenosum, that requires an injection of of Humira twice per month. So I have no shortage of issues. I've had 5 surgeries in the last 10 years just for the Hidradenitis alone, which required 4-6 month recovery time each. Needless to say it's been rough trying to move forward in life with work, family, etc. because of it. Just to be clear, I'm not by any means… looking for a pitty party. I'm just laying out a bit of my medical history to put things in perspective. But I'll get to the point now. A strange thing happened the other day on the day of my scheduled monthly appointment with the doctor. I got a call from his nurse. She said the doctor won't be filling any of my prescriptions he's been filling for years because the doctor believed I was filling them in Florida also. Now I immediately knew what the confusion was because I was given the heads up about it a month prior. What I mean is on my previous appointment, Dr. Rasheed's associate examined me since he wasn't available to do it. The associate told me that he had to straighten out an issue with my name. I have the same full name and birth date as someone in Florida (very common name, btw, like "John Smith" common) and it just so happens that person was also on a few of the same meds as me. Mind you, I live in Pennsylvania. So apparently the other doctor was smart enough to realize the system is quite flawed and obviously looked at something other than name and birth date. Maybe he looked at SS#, address, etc. You get the point. So he proceeded to fill the prescriptions after further investigation. Dr Rasheed, however was not as good at putting 2 and 2 together so it pretty much went south from there... I mentioned earlier about the call I got on the day of my scheduled appointment. Dr. Rasheed refused to even speak to me like he thought I was a criminal or something after caring for me for 15 years. He had his nurse tell me there was nothing they could do because I was filling medication in 2 different states, even after I told her to just contact the other doctor. She put me on hold for about a minute. She gets back on the phone and tells me again, "Sorry, the doctor said there is nothing more we can do" I say well can I at least speak with the doctor? Again, "sorry, nothing we can do" so I gave up for the moment then I called back because I was stressing out at that point. I mean I have to have meds I need for my conditions mentioned earlier. Blood pressure meds are pretty important alone. Anyway, I called back about 10 minutes later out of pure desperation to try one last time to reason with them and got a "voicemail full" message. I tried 2 more times and got the same result. Then they closed for the day. I then called the next day 4 times between morning and early afternoon only to be greeted with the "voicemail full" message over and over again for a few hours. So at this point I'm out of ideas. So I call again after researching about filing complaints against doctors. All info I read about it said I needed the names of all staff involved in the incident. This time the nurse answers. Same nurse as the day before who was relaying the messages from the doctor. So I ask her name. I said I wanted to investigate the situation myself and I needed the names of all involved. She hesitated at first, then gave me her first name. I said and last name? She then put me on hold. That was when Dr Rasheed finally got on the phone. Imagine that! He wants to talk to me now. And that's exactly what I told him. Then I said I just need to know what happened here and the only way I can do that is to know the names of all involved it the situation. The nurse was fairly new so that's why I didn't know her full name. Anyway, I continued, telling the doctor, You canceled my appointment, literally treated me like a criminal, wouldn't even bother talking to me for the last couple of days, and as soon as I ask for the name of the nurse, that's when you think it's a good idea to actually talk to me? After that he completely lost it. He told me "I don't care if I treated you like a criminal, I'm trying to protect myself" and before I could get another word out he screamed "Go find another doctor" After 15 years, that's all it took... And did you catch that? "I don't care" So much for that oath, eh? HealthCARE Look at that! the word "care" is literally a part of the word that describes what he's trusted and paid to provide but he can't be bothered with it. And all over a mistake in identity that can easily be corrected with just a little more investigation into it. I never write reviews...Ever, but this one had to happen. If I can warn one person to not fall victim to this monstrosity and gross incompetence, this TL;DR review was worth it.

He is a no nonsense physician that hits you with the truth. I don't go to a doctor to be coddled. Thanks Doc!!!

If I could leave negative stars I would. Dr. Rasheed is not in the business of helping people. He is in the business of opening new buildings, making money, and letting everyone know he is better than they are. He is a bully. He tells his patients what they want to hear. He doesn’t care about the honest truth and doesn’t recognize fellow doctors as professionals. LONG story. My past four times my dad was in the hospital, Dr. Rasheed was on vacations. This past time he was in with congestive heart failure, someone in the family was with him at all times. Dr. Rasheed has told my sister and I on many occasions that this is America and he chooses who he can speak to and he refused to speak to us; even though my sister was power of attorney. He would come into Daddy’s room at all hours and wake him up to ask how he was doing instead of speaking to us. The last time he came in, it was just me as my sister had to work and my mom had to go home and rest. We had met with the social… worker and wanted to take Daddy home with Hospice Care. I spoke up and said as much to Dr. Rasheed. He told me he would not sign for that and he would only speak to my mom. He left daddy’s room and started the paperwork for Home Health. At that time, the social worker called because she saw it in the computer. She told me I had to go to the desk and tell him to stop Home Health. I went to the desk and the nurse told him I wanted to speak to him. He refused. The social worker was still on the phone. She said to speak to him OVER the station, so I did. I said “Dr. Rasheed, I’m on the phone with ** and she has told me that you are doing paperwork for Home Health. We want Hospice Care. He rolled around and told me to go behind the station. I went around and he again reminded me that this is America. I Told him that I knew that because I was born and raised here and he really didn’t need to continue to remind me of this daily. I told him that we want daddy to be released on hospice care immediately. At that time doctor was she’d stood up looked down on me told me I had no rights to be speaking to him and if I did not leave he would call security. At that time I looked up at him and I said please do call security because I am feeling threatened by your presence right now and your lack of care that my father is receiving. Feel free to call security. At that time I walked out of the nurses station back to my dad’s room and was physically sick. When I came out of the bathroom, Daddy Was still asleep but there were five people in the room. The social worker had heard his conversation with me hung up the phone and had an entire team of people waiting for me. I had never been so scared in my life. As it turned out it was the social worker, the director of nursing, the charge nurse, and two security guards there to make sure my father and I were safe. A few minutes later my sister came in and wanted to speak to Rasheed. After that, my mom wanted to speak to him. He had left the hospital so fast and had all of his phones, pagers, etc turned off. Later that night we brought daddy home with hospice care. Hospice asked Dr. Rasheed if he would continue to be my father’s doctor since he had been daddy‘s doctor for over 30 years he said no. That goes to show what kind of man he is. My father passed away four weeks later at home with my mother by his side. She has heard nothing from Dr. receipts office, no I’m sorry no how are you doing no nothing. My father passed away four weeks later at home with my mother by his side. Mommy had an appointment there and all he said to her was that there were no hard feelings on her decision. My sister and I are TRYING to make her change care givers because we do not trust Dr. Rasheed.

He is a rude man and I will never recomend him to anyone. He treats his staff badly calling them names in front of patients. Very disrespectful. Wouldnt recomend him to treat a snake.

I got that on time for my appointment. As soon as I got there the receptionist asked me my name. As soon as I told her my name she said "you know you don't have insurance. I will cost you $70. I asked her to hold on a minute and I want outside to call and check. I went back in to tell her I called and I do have insurance. I stood at the window for the longest time waiting for her to open it. I tapped on the window several times. When she finally opened it I told her I have insurance and she told me I'm too late. It's 15 minutes past my appointment time. Then she said she called and tried to get me in there earlier but I didn't answer. Very obvious she want to get out of early early.

If it wasn't for this doctor I would of had my left foot amputated. He knows what he's doing he is the best ever
