Dr. Manan Shah, MD

Dr. Shah has exceeded my expectations. He is the best Obgyn I've ever had. Very friendly, caring and kind.

Dr. Shah goes above and beyond. He is kind, caring, very professional and personable. I am so thankful for him. He made this pregnancy so much more relaxing by explaining everything that would be going on, making sure to answer all my questions. He really goes out of his way for his patients. I was scheduled for a c-section with my 2nd child. She decided to come early and thankfully Dr. Shah was a to make to the hospital to perform the c-section. He actually went out of his way as the hospital I was at he no longer delivered at. Trust me if you go with Dr. Shah you will not be disappointed.

Dr. Shah is absolutely amazing. I can't begin to describe what a wonderful, professional, and respectful doctor he is. Dr. Shah has great bedside manner, he presents with a positive attitude each time he sees you, and he really gets to know his patients. Dr. Shah delivered my daughter and made the process of labor and delivery as comfortable as possible. You won't regret choosing him as your OB!!! Wish I could give him higher than 5 stars!!!!

The best dr i have even been to

I had Dr. Shah for my first pregnancy. In the office, he seemed kind and caring, but when I came to ORMC for my induction I realized it is a facade. From the moment I walked into the hospital, I was set up for a csection. They gave me an ultrasound to tell me my baby was too big, then checked me frequently to tell me I wasn't progressing fast enough. He also broke my water WAY too soon (4cm) so that my baby would have a harder time maneuvering into a good position. I was bullied into getting an epidural when I didn't want one. The incessant "why not?" "just get it" wore me down. Both me and my baby were fine, but I found myself begging for more time. I'm guessing he had to leave his shift soon and I was taking too long for him? Either way my records indicate that he only allowed me to be at 8cm for 1 hour before he started seriously pressuring me and trying to scare me. telling me my baby was not going to come out. he took advantage of my vulnerability and trust. Dr. Shah has… traumatized me and caused me issues for life. My csection was unnecessary, and I was thankfully able to have a successful VBAC with an even larger baby, but I had to drive an hour away for that to happen. I will always be a VBAC and treated as "high risk", I will always have my scar, and therefore an increased risk in all of my future pregnancies with placenta accreta and previa. I have lost trust in OBs in general, suffered from post partum depression over my "failure". He also gave my best friend an episiotomy without her knowledge or consent. Dr. Shah does not practice evidence based medicine or follow ACOG guidelines. He should not be practicing obstetrics or be around pregnant women. He is the embodiment of everything that is wrong with the American childbirth system.

Dr Shah is a wonderful caring doctor who always takes the time to listen to any concerns I may have. He delivered my 5th child and his kindness and concern for me as a patient was impressive. Wish there were more doctors like him.
