Great experience, could not have asked for more. Very knowledgeable in respiratory diseases, and everything around sleep. Was on time, friendly, good listener, and made clear recommendations.

She attacked me for the problem I was consulting her about. I wanted help not a scolding. She was very inappropriate and unhelpful.

It was easy to schedule an appointment online. I had to wait a few weeks, but that's a good sign in my opinion. The office environment and staff was very friendly. Dr. Mahmoudi was very kind. I felt very comfortable speaking to her about my sleep issues. Her guidance was very helpful. She was also very responsive when I submitted follow up questions through the portal. All in all a great visit.

My husband has been seeing Dr. Mahmoudi for many years for sleep apnea. He always raved about her care and kindness. I suffer from insomnia, and decided to see her as well. I now fully understand why my husband has been so happy with Dr. Mahmoudi. She was very thorough, listened to my concerns, and came up with a plan that I was actually able to understand and follow. She arranged for sleep testing the same day, and her follow up communication was clear. I have reached out to her multiple times through the NYU portal, and she was always very response. you are not going to find more dishonest and unprofessional doctor than mahmoudi. i read about her in some publication that she is best sleep doctor in ny. When i saw her and it turned out that she is worst doctor in any state, i asked if she paid this reporter to write about her. she refused to answer. i had video appointment with her and she had screaming kids running in her home. i asked her to put these kids in another room and she said it is not possible. i sent her all my records weeks prior to my appointment, she refused to look at them. instead she was screaming and insulting me, she told me to use device that even online retailers do not sell. only manufacture of the device will sell. Most likely she gets kick backs for every device sold. it is $1500 and insurance does not pay for it. i told her i will complain to NYU, she laughed. I complained to NYU and they found that level of "service" i got is appropriate. She charged over $400 for this abuse. She is dangerous doctor… that everyone should stay away from. She appears independent contractor because i could not find any medical doctor who supervises her. You want to get abused and endanger your health, she is the one to see.
