Dr. Manish Jivrajbhai Lakhani, MD

I found Dr Lakhani to be very confidant and thorough. He explained everything in normal terms, answered all questions and concerns and personally followed up. I would recommend him to anyone. I just wish there was 2 of him so it would be easier to get an appointment. He is booked up and hard to see.

dr. lakhani is professional, takes his time, is proceeding thoughtfully, is first eliminating possibilities (by performing more tests) before coming to a conclusion as to my problem. will have a better idea of my situation in a few weeks.

Went in to the hospital with a femoral artery bleed from a heart cath done at WMC by another doctor in the practice. Bled into the abdominal cavity. Before I left Winchester Medical Center, Dr. Lakhani was informed that there was blood in the urine and that yellow pus was coming out of the veins when the IVs were removed and his reply was "Don't worry. It will go away." This doctor released me from the hospital with a roaring abdominal infection and when informed that nothing was easing the pain and the abdomin was swollen and there was difficulty urinating, he said to double up on the pain meds. Staying in the city, the next morning I could not get up and went by rescue squad to Fairfax Hospital and was treated for sepsis secondary to an abdominal hematoma, spiked a high fever, had a "cardiac event" from the high fever, and spiked another fever. This doctor needs to be re-educated.

Arrogant and tends to perform unnecessary surgical procedures.
