Dr. Manisha N Kia, DO

She is dismissive, rude and condescending. Felt angry and almost on verge of tears every time I left her office. She mis diagnosed my poison ivy, told me I had MRSA and put me on a number very strong antibiotics. Finally after not getting better for months, an after hours clinic gave me the correct diagnosis. I would not trust her with my health/life. Avoid!

Absolutely terrible. She disrespected my mother in front of me years ago when I was a child. She made fun of my mother who only cared about her children. My parents struggles when I broke my spine and had crippling mental health yet Kia only made my mother feel worse about the situation. I tell everyone what a terrible person she is. She does not deserve to have a medical license. I cannot disagree more with her ethical, moral, or medical standards. Avoid this women at all costs. She prescribed me outdated mental health meds that another doctor said should have made me gain 30 pounds. Other doctors said no one prescribed that medication anymore except her because she is not empathic whatsoever. Poor service manesha Kia. I would have felt better if I had not gone to the doctor at all because it made my mother cry.

My husband, who is disabled from a stroke, began seeing Dr Kia a couple years ago and at first we thought she was pretty good. She did like to send us to every specialist she could think of for no reason but we thought she was being thorough. She told us she wanted all of his care and prescriptions to go through her office, which was no problem. Then 6 months ago, without giving us any warning, she decided she would not refill anti-seizure prescriptions anymore, they had to come through my husbands neurologist who only supplies prescriptions during an office visit which took a month to schedule so he ran out of anti-seizure medication. Next was a kidney medication, no warning, she just wouldn't refill the prescription when it was due. I don't know what kind of doctor does this and when I told her how I felt about it during my husband's next visit, she told me "if I was going to be argumentative, this wasn't going to work out" which I took as a direct threat that she would drop my… husband as a patient if I questioned her. I've gotten almost all my husband's prescriptions switched to his specialists and only need diabetic meds through her right now and I'm looking for a new physician for that. I cannot recommend her if you need reliable consistent prescriptions.

She seemed great at the meet and greet. After that she didn't care about my concerns. It also takes forever to get an appointment.
