Dr. Manita Sawhney, DO

She was not very helpful in my case

I really hate to write this about her but I felt that the day I saw her she didn't hear me at all. She only cared about what she said regardless of what my symptoms showed. Her test for throat culture showed negative, I had very high fever and was very sick and couldn't even swallow. She denied I needed antibiotics, she claimed that the test is very reliable. some days pass and I was in agony, I couldn't swallow, high fever still. I had to go somewhere else and the Dr. immediately prescribed antibiotics, he said that tests cant be relied on as they are not 100% we have to go by symptoms. as soon as I took the antibiotic I felt relief. She also kept pushing for me to remove my tonsils, I went to 2 ENTs who didn't agree with her so she tells me to go to another one who will remove them. She did not hear me or want to hear me. Very disappointing experience both times. I can only hope she has changed from my bad experience because I did let her know both times she was wrong before I left… the practice.

I have seen Dr. Sawhney twice and both times she has impressed me. Totally listened to me and my concerns but shared her experience and expertise to advise me. Yes, I would recommend her and I will continue to see her. No I'm the doctor and you're the patient with her. She truly seems to want to work as a team for my good health. I'm pleased that she is here in Cornwall.
