Dr. Sreedharan’s interest in medicine began in his early teens while growing up in India. Inspired by the reality TV show “Trauma – Life in the ER” on the Discovery Channel, he pursued a career in medicine from a young age. He was accepted to Hebei Medical University in Shijiazhuang, China, where he earned his medical degree. He subsequently completed his internship training at a local hospital in Shijiazhuang.
He continued his medical education …in the United States, completing his residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford. During his three years of residency, Dr. Sreedharan gained hands-on patient care experience, primarily at SwedishAmerican Hospital/UW Health. His training emphasized walk-in clinic care, procedural skills, and obstetrics.
Since completing his residency, Dr. Sreedharan has focused his practice on trauma and emergency medicine. He has provided care in emergency rooms at several regional hospitals and has delivered immediate care services at a local clinic. His background in emergency medicine equips him with comprehensive knowledge of the evaluation and treatment of personal, sports, and work-related injuries, ensuring that patients receive the most appropriate and effective care protocols.
Dr. Sreedharan is multilingual, fluent in English, Malayalam, Hindi, and Tamil, and possesses basic skills in Mandarin. Outside of his medical practice, he enjoys playing tennis, biking, and spending time with family and friends.
