Dr. Manolito Velasq Castillo, MD

He is a good Doctor !

Dr. Castillo is really experienced and knowledgeable. He not only runs his private practice to treat people in the community, he works at inpatient hospitals so he knows how to treat people when they are REALLY sick. He listens and doesn't look at the clock when you're talking or just make eye contact with his notes. He looks at YOU when you're talking and when he's speaking. He educates you on your diagnosis, and if you don't need meds or don't like the ones you're taking, he works with you to find the best treatment. He will see you as often as you like and need, sometimes weekly if you're suffering and sometimes every six months if you're doing well. He doesn't make you come every month just to get paid like some psychiatrists. He also doesn't charge for missed appointments or cancellations like everyone else. He's understanding and compassionate. And his staff is great. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Castillo. I recommend him to all of my friends and family.

Dr castillo is a good Dr he spends time to hear your problems

He's changed appointments with my sister who is severely depressed. He has no follow up. She was in the hospital for allegedly overdosing and he didn't follow up once. Consequently, she was taken off all medication only to have to start it up all over again. My sister is a difficult patient, but I think this doctor is in over his head.

Irresponsible with prescriptions. Cancels appointments without notice.
