Dr. Manuel Antonio Arevalo, MD

I have never seen Dr. Manuel till date. It’s always the nurses who do checkup. It’s just his name tag on insurance card. Don’t know what they getting paid for??

My granddaughter has Medi-Cal through Anthem, so we don't have a lot of choices. Dr. Arevalo is a Harvard Med School graduate, with residency at UCD, so I thought we'd really lucked-out with this PCP. But no ... the office is grossly mismanaged - it takes forever to get through on the phone, no one returns voice mail or text messages, and my granddaughter goes without needed care sometimes because this mess of a medical practice just can't find the time to make appointments. The most common thing they do, insist you call at exactly 8 a.m. to 'request' an appointment, and if you don't hear back by 3 p.m., then just go to the ER if it's urgent. Mostly we never hear back at all, even after days and multiple calls.

This doctor is not very personable. He doesn't spend much time with his patient. He doesn't spend time explaining diagnosis. Unless you ask questions, you won't get much out of this doctor.

The whole office is very unprofessional. The doctor seems lazy. You'll get no information or results going there. Save yourself the time and find a better ped.

I'm just not convinced this doctor knows what he is doing. He just types information into his laptop and then reads the results it gives and leaves. Very little of his "expertise" actually comes from him. His bedside manner is poor at best and very little of his insight is said with confidence. I visited him twice and just found that I need a different doctor because I'm not willing to risk my child's health for him to play doctor because that's what it seems like he does.

not a good experience with this doctor. he would diagnose for my children without even checking them; no bedside manner at all. pls choose another doctor if you can.

THEY ARE VERY RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL.
