Manuel Bouffard, OTR/L, CHT, OTD

Manuel Bouffard, OTR/L, CHT is the President and Owner of Medcessity, Inc., based in Long Beach, CA. 

He received his B.Sc. in Occupational Therapy from the University of Montréal in 1993 and is a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). He is currently licensed to practice occupational therapy in California, a credential that underpins his specialized work with patients who have complex upper extremity needs. His academic foundation and advanced certification reflect a long-standing commitment to excellence in hand and upper limb rehabilitation.

Throughout his career, Bouffard has dedicated himself to the assessment and treatment of both orthopedic and neurological upper extremity conditions, treating a wide spectrum of diagnoses—from intricate digital replantation cases to patients with flaccid hemiplegia. His practice emphasizes comprehensive evaluation and tailored rehabilitation strategies designed to restore function, promote recovery, and optimize outcomes for people …with hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder impairments.

Professionally active in his field, Bouffard is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT), and he served as a board member of the Hand Therapy Society of Greater Los Angeles (HTSGLA).
