Dr. Manuel Anthony Gurule, MD

If i could give 0 stars I would. I received a concussion at work and this was the first dr i could get into (almost 2 months later). I have a history of long lasting concussions with debilitating symptoms and this was just that. While dealing with this concussion, i was diagnosed with ehlers danlos syndrome (eds) and found info on how this could cause easier and more long lasting concussions. He knew nothing about eds and was not open to learning about the information. When i hit 3 months of ongoing debilitating symptoms (dizziness, spatial awareness issues, short term memory, balance issues, etc.), he told me that my concussion should be better by now and these symptoms were no longer due to a concussion. Instead they were due to anxiety and depression…He cleared me to go back to work full time despite not being safe to drive which he also cleared me to do. My symptoms are not fake and post concussive syndrome can last months or years based on medical research. Highly do not recommend… this doctor. He does not listen and when he doesn’t know the answer he just dismisses the problems.

I was throw out of their office. I made a comment about them making me get my own medical records. Dr is very unproffrsional and very sarcastic. Not some one eat as a doctor.

Gurule has a very flat affect, poor listening and communication skills, performs low quality diagnostics. Therefore he is unable to diagnose even the grossest of neurological abnormalities.

I have been to other neurologist that make you feel like you are wasting their time. Dr Gurule doesn't make me feel that way. I have been taking my Dad to see him for the last 18 mo. and I am quite satisfied that he takes the time to explain and clarify questions and concerns of the patient. I have also got my husband seeing him. The neurologists that were suppose to do post stroke follow ups never stayed in contact. I am glad Dr Gurule was willing to take on another patient. I am recommending his services to my friends and family.

Dr. Gurule was very personable and did not talk down to me, treating me with respect.

Ridiculous care. He spends the entire appointment googling what you tell him.

Total waste of time and money. He has limited knowledge and no desire to learn.
