The best doctor i have ever had. Very attentive and concerned for my well being.

I would so continue to be a pt of Dr Karlins had i known where he went wr he left the Vancouver Cilnic....He is a wonderful Doctor and would love to continue to see him as a pt,however i have no idea where he went when he left the clinic, would love to know though, he knows what he is talking about and has never done me wrong...,

I found Dr. Karlin did not address key concerns I had for an elderly relative I took to see him. I told his staff I was not happy and was considering consulting a gerontologist on her behalf as well as holistic considerations. When I spoke with him after this (rare as drs., only talk to you through a medical assistant) he angrily asked what was going on, that his staff informed him I was seeking alternates for her care. While his objective might have been to be a good physician he came off as perturbed and angry. Be careful of his staff, they exchange conversations you have with them and use it to give advice on disciplines they are not trained in. I agree with the other poster that said he will throw you under the bus, I suspect his assistant Jessica engaged in sharing/ passing on to Karlin unfounded accusations and suspicions told to her by a pharmacist who had refused to fill my relative's prescription. Be aware that calling the Vancouver Clinic and complaining will likely… label you angry. I got the usual fauxpology, "we're sorry you feel this way".

I have missed Dr Karlin since he left Kaiser. I trusted him totally and he trusted my instincts as well. Still like Kaiser but don't feel the same level of care that I got from Dr Karlin. Wish him well but miss him terribly.

I have seen MANY doc's mainly in the Portland Or./Vancouver Wa. area but also in Cal. & Mexico,And many other city & states with-in the Kaiser medical Community,including but not limited to several doc's in the emergency rooms! With that said, Dr.Karlin IS BY FAR the most caring,kind-hearted & professional doctors I have EVER had the pleasure of working with!! He even paid NO (ZERO) attention to the very nasty (& untrue) things a doc in a "sister clinic" wrote on my records.

Stay clear of him. He will throw you under the bus to support his staff. I had a complaint about his ma who isnt even a nurse. She has one year of training but thinks she is a doctor who can give medical advice. When I complained he had me thrown out of the Van Clinic after being there 15 years he also black balled me at the clinic and changed my medical records to show things that arent true. Stay clear of him and his ma Jessica.

He was the most attentive caring Dr. who listened to me and cared. He has left Legacy and I am looking for him, he truly was the best dr. I have ever had! Thank you Dr Karlin, you will be missed!
