Dr. Manuel S Mesirow, MD

Dr Manuel Mesirow, MD is and always will be my most favorite dermatologist ever. He knows what he is doing with treating acne. His dad was also a dermatologist. Been seeing him over the years on and off for a litany of maladies, for myself and my kids. He is amazing. This is the guy you go to to come as close to "curing" acne as possible. He is not conservative in treatment. I can not say enough great things about him. Changed my life.

I went to Dr. Mesirow for about 4 years and he really cared, he would never rush me on a medicine if it was too strong, he would ask me about the stresses going on in my life to see the root of my acne. And now I don't have any acne at all!

Seeing Dr M. Mesirow for a skin problem he recommended that I see Dr.V. Lyengar for some bumps on my face that were clogged pores. Dr. V. Lyengar (butcher) cut two big craters in my right cheek that are now healed, crater, scars. He was through and out of the treatment room in less than five minutes. I feel if I were a female he would have taken an extra thirty seconds and done a less invasive procedure. I was told by a nurse that works there he is always in a hurry because he likes to make money. He also likes to buy expensive sports cars. Go to Dr. V. Lyengar (butcher) and read his reviews.

Shows no apparent interest in patients feelings. Shares no information without prompting. Very quick to biopsy. No examination to check for symptoms anywhere other than what I came in about.

If you like waiting 2 hrs. to see a dermatologist he's your man. Been there twice--same thing. He is not particularly skilled so I'm finding someone else that has a little more respect for their patients!

Dr. Mesirow is very knowledgeable and listened to all my questions. His nurses are so accomidating and smart.

I have been treated by several dermatologist over the years for the same condition that I get every year at the beginning of summer. I have never had good results, instead have had to suffer through the month or so of miserable rash and itching. Dr Mesirow was able to identify the problem with a single biopsy and prescribed medication quickly. what a relief! I will definitely recommend him to anyone with skin issues. He is also currently treating my teenage son for his acne.

The experience was wonderful from making the appointment to checking in, examination by the physician and treatments performed. The staff was friendly and caring, the physician is complete and thorough, easy to understand actually wants to see me better.

I was taken back to the exam room 45 minutes after my appt time. I had taken off work for the visit, but I still needed to return to work. I kept asking about the status of my appt time, but nobody would give me an answer. The woman at the front said this was normal when you see a specialist. I could understand some wait...but 45 minutes?! Why couldn't they have told me how backed up he was when I arrived? Then I could have made the decision whether to wait to reschedule. Instead, I found myself there past the alotted time I was supposed to be away from the office. I stuck it out since I was already too late to get back to work. Moreover, he was in with me for less than 10 minutes. His asst. actually wrote out my prescriptions. He would have been in there even less time if I hadn't insisted on asking him a lot of questions before he could run out of the door. I figured that he owed me those few minutes after he kept me waiting without any sort of customer service updates.
