Dr. Maram F Zakko, MD

Dr. Zakko is great. His clerical staff however, is terrible! No followup and general slowness will keep you from getting anything accomplished in a timely manner. There are other practitioners you will be much happier with.

Was referred to Dr.Zakko by my primary care physician. I was very disappointed with the way I was treated by this physician. First of all, how does a physician dictate a "History and Physical" on someone they have never even met? Very poor way to practice medicine in my opinion. Then as I was being wheeled into the procedure room for an UGI Endoscopy this physician would not even take a minute to listen to my concerns. He totally blew me off. After the procedure was over, while I was still very sedated he stopped by and the only thing I remember him saying was "biopsy". He never bothered to contact me later in the day or any time after the procedure when I was recovered from the sedation, and could have understood what he was saying. Very disappointed with this physician and I will not be following up with him.

The diagnosis and treatment received (medication to correct my issue) were spot on and without hesitation. He surely knows his field. He will always be my hero! If you see any reviews that are less than my review here, do not believe them! Trust him with your care, you can't go wrong or find a doctor better than Dr. Zakko!

Dr Zakko removed a few bile stones from my bile duct and I really felt that he and his nurses really cared about me and my health

The nurses & techs were very efficient, caring, & explained everything to me. They really tried to make me feel comfortable & calm my fears. I felt well cared for. Over the top care & service !

Excellent treatment! In fact I ran into one of my nurses at the store a week later who was very kind when we finally figured out where we new each other from!!

I noted that the facility generally exceeded my expectations. While not exactly the truth, I think it indicates how pleased I am with the facility and the personnel. I have had 2 coloniscopies peformed by Dr. Zakko so far. This one and one 11 years ago. I remember the care at the prior colonoscopy being excellent. I expected it to be excellent and it turns out I was not wrong.
