Dr. Marc Alan Darst, MD

Brought my daughter to see Dr. Darst for acne problem. Dr. Darst said he was giving her 3 prescriptions which were to be called into my pharmacy. The prescriptions were never called in and I had to follow up with the office to correct the problem. The pharmacist said the prescriptions had to be approved by the insurance company (through the Doctor's office). which was 5 days after appointment. Here we are 1 week later and no prescriptions have been filled.Dr. Darst's office is very, very slow to return calls and it seems like all we have been doing is waiting.

The only issue i have is the front desk and answering service. I dont like the British recording. The ladies at the front desk just seem untrained and inexperienced. Dr Darst seems to do a good job in general. I did have a terrible chemical peel experience but attribute that to my skin. He is very knowldgeable. Its hard to find a good dermatologist!!

Dr Darst seems board with his job now. Billing is messed up half the time.

Seems like a Good dermatologist. Just watch your billing after your visit. Mine inflated by $350 from when I left the office and got my bill a month later and leaves me wondering what happened.

I went to see Dr Darst for a lesion on my face that I was worried about. I knew the date it appeared. Dr Darst said he thought it was a scar. I told him that wasn't the case, since I knew when it appeared but he was firm it was fine. It wasn't fine. I went to another dermatologist who biopsied the site and it was basal cell carcinoma. I'm glad I decided to get a second opinion. After this happened I requested a copy of my medical records. When they were mailed to me they had accidently included someone else's medical records in with mine.

Thank god he helped some people with their botox. I on the otherhand had seen him one time with my wife for similar issues of something that should of been a simple diagnosis and treatment. Long wait time proceeded with a very short 15 min visit with his nurse and then the doctor as well. Your record and reviews seem to be best mixed. In our! case as many I'm afraid your effords based on the money that could be made were poor to say the least. In short, your arrogant attitude for making a fast buck has left many abused both medically and financially. Pardon my poor writting skill as I'm sure you'll have a smooth reply. Please stay away from this type of so called doctor.

Dr. Darst is the only one in 5 years that has given me the time and attention that I need to understand my condition and the risks that are associated with it. I feel blessed that he is my Dermatologist.
