Attentive and thorough

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Dubin. I have been seeing him for the past year for severe schizoaffective disorder which has been very recalcitrant through the years and difficult to treat. Dr. Dubin has been a wizard with reconfiguring my medications, which has been a complicated task. He is also a superb therapist. I have been treated with nothing but the utmost kindness, insight, and compassion. I would recommend Dr. Dubin exceedingly highly.

My experience with Dr Dubin was on his inpatient unit. I found him to be extremely condescending and disregarded my feelings. Conversely he told me how I was feeling. What I was thinking. It made things very difficult for me as is being inpatient there is very little voice to be heard as a psych patient-he made it so much worse by being so blatantly disrespectful. During my time there I heard from many other patients saying they felt he was mistreating them. It’s sad that he is one of the dr’s of the nations top psych wards

He is a brilliant and compassionate doctor. My relative was in his care for 3 weeks in the hospital and he and his staff were stellar.

Awesome doctor. Smart, professional, always on the ball. Great with meds and psychotherapy, and is always up on all the latest research in the field. Definitely one of the best doctors in NY and beyond!

Dr. Dubin played fast and loose with the DSM-IV, and stuck a psychiatric label on me that wreaked havoc on my relationship with my family and friends. Later doctors called his diagnosis "irresponsible". I'd have sued if I could find a law firm that took psychiatry cases.

Dr Dubin handled my psychiatric emergency with grace and intelligence. During my hospitalization and in the acute phase that followed he was extremely attentive and made good choices for medication. His acute treatment skills are very strong. For the longer-term, however, a patient may wish to choose a doctor who dedicates more of his time to less acute cases.
