Dr. Marc Gainor has been in the private practice of dentistry for 30 years. He graduated with a BA in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania in 1977 and received his DMD degree from the University Of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1981. He then completed a post graduate General Practice Residency in Dentistry in 1982. Dr. Gainor is a proud member of the following dental organizations: the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Equilibration Society, the New York Academy of Dentistry, the New England Masters Study Club, the Occlusal Concepts Study Club, and the Rockefeller Center Study Group. Dr. Gainor is strongly committed to continuing education. He has completed the prestigious Pankey Institute restorative continuum, the Spear Institute mastery continuum and has taken advanced coursework at the Dawson Academy, and the Strupp Postgraduate School of …Dentistry. Dr. Gainor has completed over 2300 hours of continuing education since completing his residency, and in 2006 was awarded the title of "Master" of the Academy of General Dentistry, for his continuing education achievements. Dr. Gainor is very involved in organized dentistry and enjoys teaching. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the NY County Dental Society, the Board of Trustees of the NY State Academy of General Dentistry, and is the Chairman of Seminars and Workshops at the Greater NY Dental Meeting. He serves as President of the New England Masters Study Club and Co-Director of the Rockefeller Center Study Group. He has been appointed a Visiting Faculty member at the Spear Institute in Scottsdale Arizona. He has taught courses at NY County Dental Society and Second District Dental Society and has held appointments as Clinical Instructor at both the University of Pennsylvania and New York University. Dr. Gainor was recently honored with the Academy of General Dentistry Lifelong Learning and Service award as well as Fellowship in the American College of Dentists for his leadership and service to the profession.
