Dr. Marc Fredrick Greenberg, MD

When I was 18 years old(1996) (currently 41) I had to seek out another doctor for eye surgery again. I was born with severe muscle control problems, astingitism, near sightedness in one eye and far sightedness in another. My father helped me search for a doctor that specialized in eye corrective surgery for my muscles. I had a hard finding one who would take me because of my age but with a little luck my father got on the phone with a dr. Greenberg office and got me a appointment there. He took me in as a new patient even though I was an young adult. The office staff was very pleasant and never ever had any problems with them. They were very helpful in the insurance process as well. As for my initial visit it went well. I had a through examnation done including my dilation. Dr. Greenberg discussed all options with me and answered all my questions. Also answered the questions my father had as well. It turned out that I was going to have muscle alignment surgery again for 22 time in my… life. I went to a few other appointments in between my scheduled surgery to keep check on the condition of my muscles because they were some deterioration in them. I was having bad headaches because of it. The day came of my surgery. It was on my 19th birthday. Dr. Greenberg bedside manner was very friendly and lighthearted. I was made feel very comfortable before and after surgery. I also had a post opp appointment that went well too. As for the long term for about 10 years after my surgery I had the best vision I ever had in my life. 20/40. My numbers were under 3.00. I could even take my glasses off and read small print at a distance. I could’nt never do that before. After the initial 10 years the vision slowly deteratorated again. I was disppointed that it didn’t last but dr Greenberg did warn me that could happen with my condition.he was uncertain how long my good vision would last or even if it would help at all. I am very glad you did the surgery for me dr. Greenberg. Thank you for giving me 10 years where I saw near perfect vision looked like. I always had a surgery every 5 years like clockwork but after your surgery to this day I have not had another one since. If I were to have any more problems with my muscles I would definitely go back to his office for an appointment. I would highly recommend anyone to him adults and children alike.

I had eye surgery with Dr. Greenberg, and while my vision has improved, looking back I would've have chosen a different doctor. My biggest issue was that during my surgery they started disinfecting my eyes BEFORE I was asleep. It BURNED SO BAD as they forced my eyes open to pour betadine or whatever they use in them. I don't know why they couldn't wait until I was out. I experienced this surgery as an adult. I can't imagine what it's like for children he treats who may not be able to effectively communicate what they experience with him! Also, he is very unpleasant in bedside interactions. He came to speak with me before my eye surgery and said he would answer any questions I had. When I started to speak, he quickly cut me off and told me I had to wait until he was done talking (he wasn't even talking when I tried to speak). It was very off-putting. The office staff was pleasant and my wait time was less than 1 hour.

My first time going, I was pleased. He was great ?? with my children. Being that my daughters was busy bodies. He was patient and was still able to concentrate, meanwhile my children and was being pretty active. So I really wanna give him a thumbs up ?? for that. Not many people can deal with that. He completely kept a smile on his face ?? which is definitely a bounus. An I have upcoming surgery on my lazy eye. An I’m super excited to see the results. I believe he would do a terrific job on me with all prayers in faith. Can’t wait ??

After operating on my small child, his office sent a letter stating that he would not see my child for care except for emergencies within a few days of the surgery. No explanation was given.

Dr. Greenburg is the best eye doctor. I had weak eye muscles as a baby/child. He operated on my eyes and they have been perfect since. Thanks Dr. Greenburg

I took my 10 mo old daughter to see Dr Greenberg for the 1st time today. I was very apprehensive & almost cancelled my appt due to the other terrible reviews about him. I decided to go to the appt & have my own experience & I am so glad I did! The entire staff was so nice to us. The were all smiling & talked very sweetly to my daughter & were courteous to me. I breastfeed my daughter so this was another anxiety issue I was having because I knew this was going to be a long wait & I wasn't sure how that would play out. After 1 hour of waiting she started to get hungry. I politely asked if they had a private room I could feed her in so I wouldn't have to do it in the waiting room & they very nicely let me use their employee break room & made me feel very comfortable about the whole thing. They didn't rush me or make me feel that I was an inconvenience to them. Next up was the nurse, Dana, she was awesome! She was very good at handling my daughter. She talked sweetly to her & even… made funny sounds for her to look at the light. She helped in making us feel at home while we were there. Dr Greenberg was the best part of the whole appt! The way he has learned to examine a child's eyes without having to hold them still is amazing! He used toys, sounds, & stickers to get my daughter to look the way he needed her to & praised her when she did good. There was 1 part of the exam where he had to shine a bright light in her eyes & I had to hold her arms down, but he forewarned me that that was the worst part & that she wouldn't like it. I felt that was very fair, considering how much he was able to do without any restraint at all. He was very thorough in his examination & our conversation about her diagnosis. I feel that he took a very appropriate amount of time with me to explain the diagnosis and any treatment options that were available. I felt like he covered all the bases and made sure I was comfortable with what we were discussing. I left the practice with no questions or worries what-so-ever. The only bad part of my experience was the wait time. I was there from 9:34 am - 12:00 pm, but I knew going into this appt that it was going to be a long wait. It's a specialist office for KIDS to examine their EYES (not an easy or quick task). Just know going into it that it's going to be a long wait & bring lots of toys & milk if you have a baby. Now I'm not saying they don't need to do something about their wait time because they definitely do, but what got me through our appt was putting myself in their shoes for a minute & realizing all of the screaming kids & frustrated parents they have to deal with ALL DAY. We, as parents, get to go home after a couple of hours, they do not. That made me feel much better about my situation! But seriously, they do need to have another doctor on staff at that location to help with the flow of appointments!

Dr. Greenberg did surgery on me for strabismus as an adult. He did an incredible job. Not many do this surgery in adults. He got my repair with one surgery. He now sees my daughter & is great with her also. Never have had a problem with him answering questions, there have been many! Friendly & so is his staff.

Great at getting the children to participate in exam and cleanliness of office is a plus. Our appointment was after lunch hour so we had no wait. Interaction with parents is his downfall. He does most of the talking without answering your questions and the tech/nurse that came in before the dr has no bedside manners. No warm feelings in this office. Don't plan on going back.

Exceptional with toddlers to get them involved in the appointment.

Dr. Greenburg preformed a surgery and there were complications. He offered nothing what so ever afterwards to help the mistakes he had made. He took the money and ran. He is rude and very shady, He isn't good with children and he isn't all that he's cracked up to be. I honestly believe he should have his medical license revoked.
