Dr. Marc Samuel Itskowitz, MD

I have explained all of my symptoms. He did not listen and focused on a different diagnosis. I was not treated for the problem I had.

I was a patient of Dr. Itskowitz for several years and was content until I fell very ill. I kept returning to Dr. Itskowitz with a list of symptoms. After a year of specialist and being out of work, I became defeated. My disposition lead the doctor to suspect drug addiction. My family knew I was very ill and this was certainly not my style or the case. I immediately switched doctors and learned after much testing that I was bitten by a tick and contracted Lyme disease. I will now fight Lyme for the rest of my life and never regain full health because it was not caught in time. Dr. Itskowitz works with residents but never took my symptoms and ordered a Lyme test. I can’t help but think things would have been much different for me in many ways if Dr. Itskowitz did a better job.

Dr. Itskowitz is outstanding. He is very knowledgeable and has accurately and rapidly diagnosed my medical conditions. He takes his time and explains everything. He demonstrates compassion. I have referred many patients to Dr. Itskowitz and everyone is very impressed.

Went in for consultation on what was ultimately diagnosed as shingles. I was not able to see my own PCP, Dr. Vargo, so I was scheduled to see Dr. Itzkowitcz. He never came any where near me. He stood in the farthest corner of the room and asked me to show the area of concern. He never touched me, never came within four feet of me and made me feel like a leper. Why is this man getting Four stars? Would someone like to tell me? And this is not the first time that identical situations have occurred.

Excellent doctor - he listened to my concerns

I was upset when my insurance plan changed and I had to find a new doctor. My previous doctor (now out of the new plan coverage) recommended Dr. Itskowitz - this was the best thing that could have happened. Dr. Marc takes time to explain what is going on and how to take practical steps (diet and exercise) on how best to stay healthy. He has recommended against a suggested operation recommended by another doctor (for my wife) which was really not necessary. He has the patient in mind - not his pocketbook.
