Waste of time and money

Dr Lipschutz is a wonderful doctor and a great therapist. He may confront me at times with interpretations I don't agree with, but it's not because he's cruel, mean, or egotistical (as some have implied): it's because he wants me to be a little less rigid in MY viewpoint and make room for other perceptions. The lies we tell ourselves are the biggest lies of all, and sometimes we need someone else to gently remind us that our view is NOT the only "correct" one in the world. This is ultimately to our benefit because we can often let go of a lot of resentment and pain when we are able to step outside of ourselves long enough to get a new perspective. As Proust once said, "The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes." This can also apply to self-discovery. Thank you, Dr Lipschutz, for helping me have new eyes. Regarding other comments: OK, the office is not the fanciest, but the furniture is super comfortable, and I'll take comfortable over… fancy anyday. Also, I've never used his bathroom, but if you don't like it, go somewhere else. I don't think it's really relevant to Dr L's quality of care. I think Wegman's bathroom is disgusting, but that doesn't stop me from coming back again and again b/c that place is FABULOUS (just like Dr Lipschutz).

Dr. Lipschutz is amazing. I am currently working with him and have been for a little under a year. I have many complicated issues that were complicated by the deplorable condition that my previous psychiatrist at U of Penn left me in. I was to heavily medicated until very recently for him to evaluate me properly. He tried his best and he worked with me as I was without input from my previous provider in order to avoid clouding his assessment of my conditions. In recent weeks, he has been immensely helpful in getting me off of almost all medication. He has been incredibly supportive and returns my after hours calls. I lost a year and a half of my life because of all of the medication that I was on (from U of Penn provider, not Lipschutz). Finding myself again and dealing with the fact that I lost all of that time in my prime years of life has been a painful process that Dr. Lipschutz is helping me navigate. This man is at the top of his game so to speak and has permanently… altered my life for the better.

I'm sorry to say I agree with the negitive comments about this MD, and I think the positive comments sound like a fairly tale, he is rude, egotistic and not professional, he also had no clue or insight into my mrdical issues. i'd never go back to him.

Dr. Marc Lipschutz is a very poor choice for a psychiatrist. He is unfamiliar with my medical condition. He is unwilling to cooperate with other medical specialists. His ego gets in the way of professionally helping me.

Smart, kind, warm, funny. Gets it.

I have seen Dr. Lipschutz for 7+ years. He has been there with me always through those years with kindness, knowledge, and an essential sense of humor. I am now 5 years into a treatment-refractory severe depressive episode. He has been to hospitals with me, he has interrupted his life to talk to me or my worried family, and I have always known that, regardless of my state, he was there for me. He is an excellent psychopharmacologist, and has also actively sought out the most promising treatments there are for me to try. After 7 years, I consider him a friend, one of the dearest I have known.

Dr Marc Lipschutz is very judgemental. He has a bad temper coupled with a sarcastic tone. He made my self confidence plummet.

I feel like I lost 5 years of my 20's due to the care from Dr. Marc Lipschutz. I believe he misdiagnosed me during that time, the meds he prescribed made me worse and eventually I developed symotoms I never had, and due to the way I think feel and act now, I feel certain it was due directly to those meds. I spiraled worse and worse in his care and since I have since weened myself over one year ago, I have not had one panic attack since, and all the new spymtoms disolved on their own. At one point he actually called me and yelled and cursed at me on the phone while trying to fix a complication. NEVER would I recommend his care.
