Never met the doctor I’m sure he is good only heard good things However we just had a baby and my wife called the front desk and was met with a extremely rude lady who obviously still learning how to communicate properly with people . Long story short we won’t be using him or recommending.

Well..I don't know how to start this review..Maybe Dr McCain is good and qualified in what he does (I assume he went to school for that), but for sure he needs to work on his social and tolerance behaviours. We moved to Vero from Canada, and a friend recommended him. He came to the hospital the second day following my son's birth and he said I quote: < Your son is so white that people will mistake you for his Mexican Nanny>...WOW, I was shocked but then I was like ohhh, is this normal? is this racist? I talked to few American friends and they were as shocked. It goes without saying, that we stopped going there. If you are someone who believes in equality, inclusion and diversity..He is not the doctor to go to!!! Such irrespecutful and racist comments should not have place!!

$ 50.00 charge per child if you reschedule an appointment within 24 hrs. No exceptions if you call after hours you will be charged. Very rude office manager . I have been with this practice for about 20 years. I tried to over look a lot with the rude office manager in the past because I really liked Dr. McCain. I am trying to save you some time and frustration trying to find a great practice for your child. This practice is not it. The assistants are great. Front office not so good. A lot of turn over with the check in position. The doctor has a good personality. Don’t go to a well check appointment and have a sniffle. You will have a cotton swab test done and you will get a bill for that swab test and because it is a well check appointment you will not be covered and you will pay for that out of pocket BUT they don’t tell you that. The front office ladies are rude on the phone when you call . I know 3 other families who feel this way.

Don’t waste your time with this “Doctor” he will pick and choose any future patients by judging the choices the parent(s) will or have made. Tried to seem down to earth but obviously only interested in a specific kind of person that will do everything he says. Your opinions or beliefs don’t matter at all to this man!

Visiting from NY child with high fever. Refused to schedule appt. Accepts our Insurance too.

As local pharmacists, my husband and I know and have regular contact with all of the pediatric offices in Vero Beach. Unlike many places, Vero has a great selection of pediatricians to choose from. Based on our knowledge, including responses from our pharmacy patients, fast call-back time and accuracy of prescriptions written, we decided to go with Dr. McCain. Once we had our initial visit with him, we knew we made the right choice. He has wonderful bedside manner and my children adore him. His scope of knowledge is very impressive. He is quick to call back in after hour emergencies. Unfortunately, we just relocated. We were very sad to leave the practice and know it will be difficult to find a pediatrician that we like and trust as much as Dr. McCain.

The baseline for this pediatrician's business is that parents are ignorant and that they know what is best for your children. Makes for a practice where parents are pushed into the role of spectators in their children's welfare. Seems to forget this is a business and that we are consumers... at least until it is money time. It becomes a business then. Watch the forms, they ask for you to advocate your rights of oversight. Especially regarding immunizations. When questioned they attempted bully technics like "do you not trust us?", etc... It is not a question of trust it is a question of authority. Not the place for parents wishing to be actively involved in their children's healthcare.

Dr. McCain and staff provide excellent care in a effiecient and caring manner. The quality of care and professionalism make every appointment as stress free as possible when you have a sick little one. I would never consider seeing a different pediatrician.
