Dr. Marc J Porot, MD

Dr. Porot is a highly experienced board certified anesthesiologist with a specialty in pain management. He started with undergraduate and graduate degrees in engineering at UCLA and then went on to medical school at the Universite Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris. After medical school, he completed internships in both internal medicine and pediatrics, and an anesthesia residency and fellowship at UCLA. He has held a private practice in Los Angeles since 1986 and has been excited about the move with his family here to Blackfoot. Dr. Porot has opened his pain management office inside the Bingham Community Health Clinic and is specializing in the treatment of acute and chronic pain.

As a pain specialist, Dr. Porot works in concert with your local doctor and other medical professionals to provide additional treatment possibilities for patients who experience chronic pain. These treatments may include specialized medications and injections, to better help patients transition from a life …ruled by pain to a more normal productive lifestyle. Dr. Porot will be the first one to tell you that not all pain can be cured, but most types of chronic pain can be managed.

Dr. Porot and his family have spent many family vacations in the Sun Valley area and are enjoying the outdoor lifestyle South East Idaho has to offer. Dr. Porot comes to Blackfoot with his wife, Jeanne, and their three sons. In coming to Bingham Memorial, Dr. Porot has been impressed with the hospital and its staff and recognizes an important opportunity for him to provide a needed service to our local community.
