Dr. Schiffman is truly a blessing for women suffering from fibroids. Dr Marc Schiffman is the kindest physician and one of rare best surgeons! He saved my life more than 4 times as I tend to grow Fibroids. Each time I was able to get back to work within just 2-3 days. I was in the cafeteria at the hospital, and 2 young doctors asked if they could join my table since it was crowded. Apparently they were doctors visiting from California to observe Dr. Schiffman do a UFE. I couldn't help but overhear their conversation, where both of them described him as the smoothest surgeon they had seen, and made it look so easy. I was just there waiting for my UFE, I was very early in case of city traffic. Needless to say, any nerves I had (which weren't a lot, I felt confident after my consult) were gone. I had the procedure, and guess what - my experience was exactly as they said. This changed my life, I was wearing pads and diapers and afraid to go to work a couple days every month. My cycles are light and easy now, and I sleep through the night - my husband noticed this even before I did. Thank you Dr. Schiffman!!! He will modestly say that he didn't invent UFE, but he sure perfected it!

1 radiologist said he couldn't treat adenomyosis. I found another one who said that he could, and I had no result. Before going for a hysterectomy, I tried one more doctor - and thank god I did. He explained and prepared me for everything... and I haven't had a life this good in 10 years!!!

Dr Schiffman is great. He's straight forward in his approach, personable and good at what he does. I originally saw him in 2011 after I received no relief from a hysteroscopic resection for a submucosal fibroid. He suggested a UAE back then and told me that my fibroid would grow back, but my gynaecologist wasn't familiar with the procedure and ensured me that she could get rid of all of it, so I had my second procedure with her in 2012. That also failed, so I went back to Dr Schiffman, switched gynaecologists and finally got my life back. It's now 5 years since the procedure, the heavy periods never returned and I remain pain free.

I just had my follow up MRI after Dr. Schiffman did my UFE about 6 months ago, and that little bugger that made my life miserable for so long was completely gone... maybe I would've had such an amazing result with other doctors too, but I doubt it...he's the best!

I am really good at making fibroids, they've made my life miserable. I have had 3 myomectomies, and they keep coming back, my gynecologist told me that I could have another myomectomy or get a hysterectomy. I'm 41, and I want my parts. My sister saw Dr. Schiffman and had a UFE with him and she told me about him. I'm glad that I flew in from Chicago, my UFE was so easy, and I feel better now than I have for over 10 years. He's the master!

I debate whether I want a surgeon with really good beside manner, or one with really good skills, Dr. Schiffman has both. Very satisfied with my UFE!

I went to another hospital in NYC with a good reputation. I knew I wanted a UFE, and the doctor there tried twice, over a couple hours each time. I was told that my arteries were twisty and too difficult to get into. I was so upset that I was going to have to have another surgery, and on a whim my coworker said that she was treated by Dr. Schiffman and I should see him. He agreed to do my case, and it went great, and took like 25 minutes. Shame on me for going to someone who was only a couple years out of training, I learned the hard way!

I was having some pain, and they did a CAT scan in the Emergency Room and found a large mass on my right kidney. I live in Florida, and the urology doctor said I needed to have the kidney removed, even though they were certain it was something benign called an Angiomyolipoma. My aunt is a producer in NYC, and she told me that I have to come see Dr. Schiffman who has treated people on the show she works for. He did an embolization on me, and the mass is completely dead and smaller and my pain is gone! I don't have any scar either, and he saved the whole kidney! I'm glad I made the trip, New York doctors are the best!!!
