Dr. Marc Alan Swanson, MD

Dr. Swanson has always taken the time to listen. He never seems in a rush and always gives me his full attention. He is interested in how my quality of life is affected by my pain. I moved 5 years ago to Tennessee and never thought about changing doctors and never will.

My husband went over toe years ago and is still scarred from his treatment! They aggressively attscked him and made him feel worthless! He even grabbed him in inappropriately and his nurse was just as bad! I don’t know how he can still be in practice. He should have been reported to the board of medicine! It’s about his manner!

He actually touches all his patients inappropriately. Ask them. They will tell you. I am a concerned citizen. He did this to my husband two years ago. Actually scarred him for life.

Very friendly staff. Dr. Swanson was cordial and took the time and interest to determine the appropriate direction for my pain management.

Dr. Swanson and all his staff are courteous, professional and efficient. I have been a patient for over 3 years and the quality of my life is better than ever. I have had 7 neck and 1 lower back surgery over the last 20 years which include titanium rods and screws and broken T1 from a car accident. Although Dr. Swanson was'nt my surgeon he has done numerous injections, nerve blocks and epidural procedures to make me more comfortable from nerve damage and 4 herniated discs in my lower back which are inoperable. He has prescribed appropriate medications, suggested self help programs and works tirelessly to keep me comfortable. He takes all the time I need to talk about concerns and well being.

I've seen Dr. Swanson 4 times and he gave me a shot that di dnt relieve any pic my pain and I told him so, instead of trying a shot that previous doctors have given me that worked, he schedules me for the same shot again. Also I have big breast and he is so obsessed with my boobs,that I'm starting to feel uncomfortable with being alone with him. He had me stand against the door with my shoulders squared, looked at my breast and goes "wow", "how big are they". I felt so offended and I am not sure if I'm going back or not

It took them over two years two diagnose my illness, there is no cure but the pain is cruciateing. They recommended a pain management that is where I met Dr. Mark Swanson. I trust this doctor with all his decisions I have been going there for seven years and he monitors my meds very Close and serious. He is not one of these doctors that will hand out pain Scripps just to be handing them out. He has exercises for me to do, encourages me to try to get up and move as much as I can. I really love this doctor because he is looking out for my safety and he is the only one that has helped with my disease. . Yes I would recommend other patients to see this doctor he is great

I DONT KNOW ABOUT EVERYBODY ELSE BUT DOCTOR SWANSON HAS BEEN A LIFE CHANGER FOR ME HAVE BEEN SEEING HIM FOR 16 YRS. AFTER 3 NECK SURGERYS HE LISTENED WHAT I HAD TO SAY AN UNDERSTOOD WHAT I WAS GOING THROUGH HE IS A GREAT DOCTOR AN HUMAN BEING IN MY MIND REALLY HELPED ME IN EVERY WAY POSSIABLE THANK YOU TO ALL HIS STAFF.

Dr. Swanson is really personable and compassionate. He is courteous and cares about you and your needs. His staff is very polite and genuinely friendly.

The only people who are decent to you are the people working the window checking you in when you get there and scheduling when you leave. The office personnel are a total joke. Hope you never need your records for any reason. Say for yourself or your attorney. You'll be waiting a long time! They drag their butts when you need them. I just stopped going last year after five years and in all that time Swanson didn't listen to me once. He seemed afraid of giving me anything harder than an aspirin for pain relief. Sad. I all but begged for something stronger for pain relief and I never was given anything but mild pain relief pills. And yes, I do have a legit medical condition that causes pain daily. Day and night. These other patients who say they've gotten a great amount of time from him and he listened to them, I don't know how they managed it. I never had more than 3 minutes with him after the initial consultation. Maybe he prefers and treats people better who are over 50. And I don't… mean to sound disrespectful either, but there are people like that, I being under younger than that. But I was always a good patient. Courteous, respectful and never lied or played games. I also resent the jumping to conclusions that because I'm now over weight it must be due to my diet. Never mind it's due to my lack of movement due to my disability. He almost got slapped over that.
