Dr. Marcelo Vianna Bendix, MD

After going to Dr Pita a few years and had to wait 6 hours + to see him. One day I said this is not for me. I 'm seeing Dr Bendix for a few years and so far have not complaint. He listen and answers my questions and concerns with not rush. Never wait more than an hours to see him, probably less. He is always pleasant and asks the questions. My husband went with me recently for the first time and had a good impression of Dr. Bendix. Always keep in mind doctors work under a lot of pressure and responsibilities. If you don't feel good with a doctors do your homework and see someone else.

I tried and tried with this doctor due to my primary keep making more appointments with him every time Dr. Bendix dropped the ball. They dont respect my time, and my health condition, my first time I went into the office I got sick in the patient room with the doctor. He said he'll wait for me when I told him I needed to go to the restroom, he didnt. I thought it was fine if he took one patient, but no, he took all of the patients in the office. Even those who just came in and all who were behind me in line. I am a young black woman, and the only difference I saw between those patients and me was the fact that I'm black. Theres a lot of inappropriate behavior that came from Dr. Marcelo V Bendix, and his wife. -They moved offices with telling me -Did not provide me any knowledge to help me in my condition, every time I go in and leave theres nothing new I learned -Seemed very indifferent to me having extreme high blood pressure and will downplay how I feel because as I quote he would… say, "Other patients take more pills than you." My primary had to get me yet again another appointment in with these folks, and I told her that I dont like this doctor, but she knows it may be a long time till I get another specialist and I needed help now. So, just this Thursday his wife called me twice, one call to tell me he was going to call me in 10 minutes. He didn't. The next call I was received was next hour and she told me he didnt want to call me because it was, ""Too Late."" I was about to bust out in tears because my HEART was hurting, I even told her this. She told me Dr.Bendix would call me tomorrow anyway. Next day came I had a strong feeling that these people would try to dog me, I contacted them with text messages asking when is Dr. Bendix going to call me? You know they did exactly what I thought they'll do? They ignored me. These people dont give a darn if I have a stroke, pass out, or even worse. Thats malpractice through negligence due to racism. How the heck does he even have a license when he routinely ignore certain patients? If it wasnt for my primary recorrecting my medicine he tried to mess with, and closely monitoring my diet its possible I wouldve died or be in serious condition under his, ""care.""

Great experience in my first visit today!. The doctor addressed my problem right away and gave me solutions.

Terrible bedside manner. His response to treating with the elderly is to constantly remind you that they are old. He has no regards for emotion and honestly doesn't seem to care for his elderly patients health. Incorrectly diagnosed a stroke as temporal arteritis and ignored a medical issue after being seen for the same condition three separate times.

Dr. Bendix clearly needs to work on his bedside manners. He seems to be "too important" to spend time with family members and patients. Death seems to be a casual topic to discuss in conversation. Definitely needs to boost down the ego and start taking better care of his patients.

He sees senior patients like a factory conveyor belt. Does not take time to listen to their problems.
